Wil Fletcher

Principal Standards Engineer

Wil Fletcher is a Principal Standards Engineer at UL Standards & Engagement, where he leads the technical development of Fire Safety-related UL and ULC standards and provides technical support to American and international staff in fire protection. His extensive background spans more than 10 years as a career firefighter and over 20 years of combined paid and volunteer service, during which he advanced to the rank of chief officer.

Principal Standards Engineer

As a Standards Technical Committee Chair, Laura helped lead the simultaneous harmonization of 17 standards for various fuel handling equipment to support the transition to biofuels in response to Canadian regulations to reduce carbon emissions. She collaborates with industry experts, trade associations, and regulatory bodies across municipal, state, provincial, territorial, and federal levels to align standards with evolving environmental and safety priorities.

Qualitative Insights Analyst

As a Qualitative Insights Analyst, Emma applies qualitative methodologies such as ethnographic observation and in-depth interviews to explore how people interact with safety in real-world contexts. Her research examines behaviors, perceptions, and decision-making to uncover emerging safety challenges in areas like aviation, e-mobility, and emergency response.
