Just played in this adventure with the creator. It fits the fairy tale feel of Perils and Princesses perfectly. Really enjoyed exploring this unique setting and piecing together the narrative. Lots of highly interactive encounters and and a very compelling climax. Highly recommend.

What a great idea!

gorgeous!

Thanks very much for the community copy. I’ve just purchased the physical book. I love the game even more now that I have the beautiful art in full color. I have yet to run the game, but I have been tinkering with the adventure generation procedures and tables for some time now. They are so full of life. I know this will create memorable experiences at the table. Can’t wait. Well done to David, Daniel, Aaron and Iko. Top notch work all around.

I purchased this as a physical book, and I love it. I was already an admirer of the Troika rule set. Kessler adapts the rule set in a clever, fun way that makes reading this a joy. The character creation is especially enjoyable. I can see how sitting together and building out a whole super team with the players would be very fun. I have had fun just making characters on my own. The comments here about the omission of a starter adventure ring true. I have struggled a bit with getting a game off the ground, but looking at old Champions and Villains and Vigilantes adventures have given good inspo. I give Longshot City a hearty recommendation.

It 's like Troika https://troika-srd.netlify.app/#/rolling-the-dice

Any  chance we could get the city map as a single PDF? I cobbled one together awkwardly, but it's not awesome.

Oh yeah, GLOG magic is where it's at.

Love MCC but maybe don't so much like lots of math and flipping through tons of tables? Me too! As a play test subject and in a couple one shots I have played through GB&RS with the author and I love this game. It comes standard with the same flavor and fun character options as MCC, but all the quick play and low learning curve of a Cairn-like. This is well-organized and clearly written. Highly recommended.

Thanks, B-Dubs!

pink text on green is so hard to read!  Yikes!

Nice work! I like this from the first read. Seems highly game-able, meaning I think I could run this after reading it through once. One small thing: the NPC Hadriel, is referred as "she" until the last sentence where it changes to "he".

I love these! Thank you!

I ran this adventure using Troika! and the Acid Death Fantasy setting. The hook was a sultan hired the party to investigate the site of ancient power and bring back any anything that could give him the upper hand over the other sultans. I embellished some of the NPC's but, otherwise ran it just as written and we had fun with it, fitting it into a 4 hour convention style time slot.

Huzzah! The writing on these backgrounds is top drawer! Good show!

This was very fun to run. The set up and setting are great and very much work. Love the writing. The danger was very easy to telegraph with what the writer gives you. Because the rolls went the way they did, it did not really function as a funnel. They made some safe choices and just didn’t encounter much deadly opposition until finding 2 longfolk towards the end. We only had 3 deaths out of 12 zeros. Nevertheless, the players enjoyed exploring this unique location.

Finally ran this using Troika! rules. It turned out great! I think the players had just as much fun as I did running it.

Such great writing! Fits the Troika! vibe perfectly. You really get this material.

And PieceOfCrazy! What great ideas to expand on this. Definitely stealing these ideas for the open table I am planning. Big thanks all around.

"When meeting someone for the first time you mayTest your Luck. If successful they are related to you." HAHAHAHAHA!

Just downloaded, planning to run in Troika. Glad you note the appearance on Vintage RPG podcast. That's where I heard of it. Troika seems perfect for this content. Fun!
