Me and this site

Woman looking out a window in a watchtower on the Great Wall of China

My name is Thư. I live in Saigon, Vietnam with my fiancée. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the web 🤎

Professionally, I’m a product designer at a B2B SaaS startup creating products for fund managers, law firms, and investors in the world of private markets. I love finding simplicity and elegance within complex systems and crafting thoughtful user experiences. Being deep in the craft is where I do my best work, and I have no plans to step away from it. Working with talented, funny, and honest people on challenging problems in this niche has been rewarding.

When I’m not working, I read, write, travel with my fiancée, and spend time with my friends. Here’s what I’m doing now, why I started this blog, and how I got into design. You can also browse the tools I use, the blogs I read, and the links I’ve bookmarked.

Connect #

I like connecting with new people. You can always email me, or message me on Bluesky where I occasionally post photos and memes. I’m not active on any other social media. I track books on Literal and movies on Letterboxd.

If you’re in Saigon, hit me up I’d love to grab a coffee and hang out.

Colophon #

This website is my playground and an extension of myself where I tinker and explore ideas. I created it from scratch with HTML and CSS back in 2020, and the stack remains the same to this day. I use Sublime Text as my code editor. Typography pairs Bricolage Grotesque by Mathieu Triay for headings and labels with Inter by Rasmus Andersson for body text. Icons are from Streamline. Everything is open source on GitHub and deployed via Cloudflare Pages. I use Umami for basic analytics, I’m mostly curious how people discover my site and how many look at what specific content.

Shoutout to people who have inspired my approach to designing and writing for this space:

Support #

The best support is hearing your comments and suggestions on other people’s sites and writing I should check out. Say hi anytime! I’ve also been curious if anyone would toss in $1 for something I wrote. If you enjoyed reading, you can buy me a coffee.
