How it started
The Good Cloud was founded by two friends, Dennis and Bjorn. They wanted a secure place to store their files. One that didn’t track them, analyse their documents, or monetise their personal information. When they couldn’t find a service that genuinely protected their privacy, they built one.
What began as a small project quickly grew into a dedicated team. Kay, Julia, Eric, Kim, Monique, Alexander, Frank, Meindert, Marjus, Anco, and Jole joined along the way — each sharing the same belief: your data belongs to you
Why we do what we do
What started as a personal, niche need has become a widely critical issue. Digital sovereignty is no longer a given. People, organisations, and governments across Europe have grown reliant on technology ultimately controlled by foreign powers. Powers whose priorities can shift overnight.
Recent geopolitical shifts have made exactly that visible. When your data and infrastructure fall under foreign legislation, your sovereignty does too.
That’s why we build European cloud infrastructure. Built locally, hosted locally, governed locally — so you stay in control, regardless of what happens elsewhere.

Your data is yours, and it stays that way. We don't track your behavior, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads. Everything you store or do within our services remains fully under your control. For us, privacy isn't a add on, it's the foundation.

We don't depend on Big Tech infrastructure. Our platform runs on European systems, governed by European rules. Independence is what allows us to put your interests first.
