As the Parliament's negotiating team announced after the so-called trilogue on Monday, the negotiators could not agree again on core issues of Chat Control 2.0 – the mandatory and suspicion-independent scanning of private communication, even for encrypted messengers. According to the MEPs, they withstood the massive pressure from the member states and defended their red line against blanket mass surveillance.
Reportedly, the parties involved made progress on contentious issues such as future age verification. However, options for scanning encrypted chats for abuse material remain hotly debated. An agreement on the package is therefore postponed. The Digital Society Association considers this an important interim victory: The ongoing civil society protest is showing its effect.

The Cliff Does Not Care If You Fall into the Sea
In many interpersonal situations, expressing your feelings and asking for empathy is the correct path toward mutual understanding and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. The Cold Cliffs represent a situation that is apathetic to how it is affecting you.
Occasionally we find cold indifference in individual human beings, but more often we find it in larger systems that disregard and overlook the suffering they create in the interest of profit and power. Examples that spring to mind are health insur- ance companies, the prison system, and the pharmaceutical industry. When faced with such cruel circumstances, you must advocate fiercely for yourself by every avenue available. Beyond this, we must consider how we can dismantle cruel, apathetic systems and build compassionate systems in their place.
As a clarifier, the Cold Cliffs falls on a card where seeking compassion will not lead to success in this situation. It is time to think logically and make pragmatic plans to protect yourself and get get what you need.

Sam naziv izvedbe Tehnoburleska: Kradljivci slika upućuje na umjetničke strategije krađe, preuzimanja, aproprijacije, ali i poigravanja sa širim kontekstom masovnih medija. Kako gledate na kritični potencijal tih strategija? Ima li nešto queer u tim strategijama?
Luka: Ja prvenstveno dolazim iz područja underground elektronske glazbe. Za neke igrokaze koristimo originalne pjesme, ali za ostale radimo remikse ili sempliramo postojeće pjesme. U tom smislu, mi nismo samo kradljivci slika već i kradljivci zvuka ili melodija. Meni je osobno bilo bitno da preradimo glazbu na neki divlji punk način koristeći remikse i sempliranje. To je možda za mene neka glavna strategija.
Suvremeni projekti koji se mogu smatrati burleskom, često nisu suvremeni i progresivni u tom glazbenom smislu. Tako da imamo neke igrokaze koje koriste ili sempliraju neke suvremenije glazbene pravce, kao što su trap, breakbeat, tehno i UK bass. To su sve neki žanrovi koji dolaze iz klupske elektronske scene, zato smo i izmislili novi žanr tehnoburleske. Što se tiče queer elementa, osobno ga doživljavam, između ostalog, kao umjetničku metodologiju začuđivanja postojećih normi.
Metod: Queer kultura je uvijek bila kodirana kultura jer – povijesno gledano – nije mogla biti previše vidljiva. Queer umjetnici_e su zato uvijek preuzimali slike ili diskurse iz dominantne heteroseksualne kulture te čitali, kodirali i preobražavali ih u queer ključu, odnosno stvarali skrivene queer sadržaje od fragmenata dominantne kulture u kojoj nisu bili zastupljeni. Mislim da se tu nalazi politički potencijal tih strategija “krađe” i usvajanja dominantnih sadržaja.

Accepting that I was the best person to market myself had very little to do with my creative interests, and at times even slowed down those pursuits as I focused on business matters, but it was key to the flourishing of my career. It ultimately bought me vastly more time to create what I want. Early in my career, I thought that if I found the right agent or manager, they would be able to see the perfect avenue for my talents and guide me to massive success. I eventually realized that—of course—no one can know your path better than you, and no one will work harder for you than you will for yourself. (My own wife—who adores me, who wants nothing more for me than to see me successful and fulfilled, who eventually quit her job to spend years taking on every part of my business that she could, and who gets far more than a manager’s share of my income—does not work as hard on Andrew Huang as I do. I don’t think I would fare better with Ron from the talent agency.)

Ontopoetics is a philosophical concept that involves the communicative engagement of self with the world and the world with the self. It includes the perception of cues or signals, or the expression of actors, as well as "the construction of impressions on re-actors by the deliberate choice of attractive signifiers that communicate factual or illusory realities".
Ontopoetics is not considered a theory but a view of reality and an understanding of the world as a communicative presence.
Ontopoetics is derived from the Greek words ontos ("that which is" - "I am" or "being") and poiesis ("coming into being" - creation" or "bringing forth"). It is also noted that the poetic element to the concept connotes a complexity that embraces diversity of experiences so that those that do not lie within the bounds of one's tradition are not rejected or denied. The concept also includes the manner by which humans respond to the symmetries around them. It is distinguished from panpsychism in the sense that it does not merely claim that the world is psychoactive but that it is responsive to us so that it can be called forth if engaged on an expressive plane, one of meaning and not merely of causation. According to Freya Mathews, the occurrence of meaningful communicative exchanges between self and the world and world and self allows a glimpse of the inner, psychoactive dimension that is inherent in materiality but occluded by materialism.
