From spies, to gang wars, hangings and cold blooded murder, writers Alan J. Porter, Ron Fortier, Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor put Ruby through his paces. But in the end, the smart mouth shamus knows, to survive, he’s going to need a little help from his friends.

Volume one was lots of fun and our mystery fans wanted more.  We were only too happy to provide them with this second volume. I even joined in the fun contributing my own Rick Ruby story.”

Well known popular artist Mark Wheatley returns for a second, stunning cover while Nik Poliwko turned in the nine beautiful interior illustrations. A super package then assembled by Airship 27 Productions’ Art Director, Rob Davis, for as yet another great quartet of P.I. adventures.

Mystery lovers will rejoice when they crack open The Ruby Files, Volume Two.

RUBY FILES CREATORS GET PULPED!

For the first time since the Pulp Ark Award winners were announced, Ruby Files co-creators Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor got to hold their Pulp Ark Award for Best New Pulp Character: Rick Ruby at the Free Comic Book day event at galactic Quest Comics in Buford, GA.

The guys are really quite proud of this book and character.

2012 PULP FACTORY AWARD NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED

The Pulp Factory’s annual award nominations were announced today and we’re happy to report that several creators involved with the creation of The Ruby Files Vol. 1 from Airship 27 Productions have been nominated.

Co-created by Bobby Nash and Sean TaylorThe Ruby Files swept this year’s nominations in all eligible categories.

Bobby Nash was nominated in the Best Pulp Short Story category for his tale, “Case of the Wayward Brother.”

Sean Taylor was nominated in the Best Pulp Short Story category for his tale, “Die Giftig Lilie.”

Andrew Salmon was nominated in the Best Pulp Short Story category for his tale, “Wounds.”

Mark Wheatley was nominated in the Best Pulp Cover category.

Rob Moran was nominated in the Best Pulp Interior Illustrations category.

The 2012 Pulp Factory Award categories include Best Pulp Novel, Best Pulp Short Story, Best Pulp Cover, and Best Pulp Interior Illustrations. Nominations and voting is conducted by members on The Pulp Factory, but you do not have to be a member to be nominated or to win. Award winners are announced and presented at the Windy City Paper & Pulp convention in Lombard, IL April 12 - 14, 2013.

THE RUBY FILES VOL. 2 INTERIOR ARTIST ANNOUNCED



Artist Nik Poliwko
It was announced on the Airship 27 Productions Facebook page today that artist Nik Poliwko has been tapped to provide interior illustrations for the upcoming 2013 release of The Ruby Files Volume 2.

From the announcement:
Talented artist Nik Poliwko has signed on to do the illustrations for THE RUBY FILES Vol II to be released next year. This series follows the adventures of hard-hitting 1930s New York private eye, Rick Ruby. Volume two will contain new stories by Alan Porter, Ron Fortier & the creators of the series, Bobby Nash and Sean Taylor.
