Every Pug down in Pugville liked Birthday parties a lot,
but the Girl, who lived just south of Pugville - did not.
From the moment she arrived she was sure to be in charge.
"I didn't have a Birthday Party", was heard from afar.
From the Fountain of Youth, I couldn't drink a drop
for I am too short to reach on my own.
Our plan to photograph The Preserve on my big day was gone
as she soon decided to run back home.
When playtime was over, dinner was served.
I shouldn't have trusted that sweet little face.
For one of those kibbles
was certainly tasted by her.
Of all the food served, it didn't surprise me
that she wouldn't eat, except what was prepared specially for me.
Do you see that little hand?
It stole my carrot cupcake at once.
What other proof I need,
than to show you this.
Ashamed she should be
that I had to sneak in to eat.
With a few doggy cupcakes left
Happy Birthday was sung
But as I prepared to make my wish
The Girl stole my space and blew the candles for me.
The real party started after we ate the cake,
but the dance floor was taken and I found no place.
We started playing games before we hit the road
but she then had to ask why I was in that board.
When chocolate was served, I had no choice
but to complain because I can have none.
It is my birthday, it must be all about me.
Gimme that phone, I am calling home.
With so much going on,
she finally passed out.
And no one can say that I don't like to share
as I celebrated my big day with my very best friend.
~ The End ~
P.S. My Birthday is today. My best friend Jax's Birthday is in two days.
The Girl can't complain, if we like to celebrate.
