Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Up They Come

It's hairball day at our house.
I grew a fresh batch of cat grass for Shaggy.
He really craves it, and loves munching on it.
It's been bringing up the hairballs nicely too.
This morning I followed him around picking up wads as he'd move from room to room barfing.
It's been nice & all melty outside so I've been taking him out to be brushed and does that hair ever go flying!
It must be tough to be a long haired cat and have to deal with swallowing all that hair.

The cat grass looks yummy! :) I'm very glad I don't have any fur, since it means I don't have to worry about hairballs. Poor Shaggy. :( Glad to hear the cat grass works though.

The buns are being brushed every day because of hairball season.

Shaggy sounds like Gizmo. After he has been outside eating grass he comes in and barfs hairballs. Mom wants him to use laxatone cause it's suppose to help with hairballs but Mom puts it on his paw and he shakes it all off before he gets to lick it. Cleo is long haired too but she hasn't been doing that to much yet. Mom doesn't like me to groom her cause she says I might be bringing up hairballs too.

Sounds like fun!!! Following around cleaning up slimy hairballs and grass!!

Almost as much fun as chasing Crane Flies and having them hanging out of your mouths like Eric and Flynn like to do. Maw sez "Eewwwwww".

Poor Shaggy, doing all that barfing. (we like that Mericky word, no one uses it here).
My mum combs me a lot and everytime lots of hair comes out. I haven't had a hairball for ages - I used to have quite a lot but since I switched to the hairball food, I hardly ever have one.

Oh dat's what dat green stuff is for? Fanks fur telling me. I need some to make me feel better and stop coughing. It scares the food people.

I don't get hair balls that often either. Between the food and the brushes, I only barf when I eat too fast.

Is THAT what kitty grass is for!?!? Wow!

Well, Grace and Ruse just love the stuff (Audace isn't interested), but they don't have long fur, so they don't barf anything up, thank heaven!

This post really made me laugh and laugh. Thanks for the great writing.

In the summertimes, when Momma takes me out on my leash, I loves to eat the grass. Then I wait, and when I get back inside, I puke it up, making sure I get it on the carpet.

I'm glad the cat grass is helping Shaggy with his hairballs. I'm sorry he has so many, though.
