It's official. Today is the last day of Winter. How sad. I love Winter. I love the cold. I love dressing up with scarves and gloves. I love the cold air hitting my skin as I get out of bed each morning. I just love everything about Winter.......*sigh* I'll miss you old friend.......*double sigh*

Ok enough mourning! Spring is in the air! As much as I do love Winter (you got that, right?) lol, I am looking forward to Spring! Tomorrow is gardening day. Precious Princess and I are going to pot up some pretty little plants, and tackle the weeds in the garden beds. Weeding is not our most favourite chore, but I bought some "oh too cute!" pink gardening gloves for us, so you just know it'll be a whole lot more fun now!

Now for the other count down.......................2 days until One True Love comes home!! (Technically it's 3, but that 3rd day he'll be traveling all day to get home, so I'm counting it as 2 days to make it FEEL shorter!) I can't wait to see him. Love you Honey! xxxoooxxx

The photo's I've posted are of our recent family holiday. This Winter we spent 3 weeks at the snow fields. What a wonderful time we had! As you look at these photo's, hum the tune to Frank Sinatra's "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas". Makes them much more dreamy that way don't you think?

And a watched phone never rings, unless of course you are in the bathroom! This is the story of my week so far. I've constantly got my ear tuned in to the phone so that I don't miss a call from One True Love, but sure enough, as soon as I am busy he will ring! Then we spend half the time saying "are you still there?" because the phone connection from China is not all that great. Can you tell I'm frustrated and over it already?!

I must say a big thank you to Tina, Cindy, Tracey & Becky for leaving such nice comments on my blog. I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't worked out yet how to reply in the comments section, that's why I'm saying thank you here. I told you I wasn't a computer whiz!

Today I was inspired by Tina's post about gardening, so I went and bought some lovely little plants. I'll post pictures when they're all potted up & pretty! Tomorrow is the last official day of Winter here, and even though Winter is my favourite season, I am looking forward to Spring. Summer is another story....................................NOT looking forward to that! All the gorgeous colours of Spring, and the smell of the heat hitting the road. Love it!

Precious Princess & I have decided to play a game of Monopoly tonight to help pass the time. As you can see Julietta thinks this is rather a good idea. lol I draw the line at her being Banker though!

Now off to guard the phone...............................again!

Precious Princess and I are missing One True Love very, very much. He's over in China for the week working. So far he's been gone for 3 days. 5 days until he comes home! Well actually he will arrive home after midnight Sunday night, but I'm still counting it as five days because it sounds better! Sunday is Father's Day in Australia, and this will be the first time we've missed spending it all together. Kinda bummed about that. Anyhoo, to cheer Precious Princess and I up, I have baked a lovely cheese & bacon quiche for dinner. I'll roast some garlic potatoes and make up a crisp garden salad to serve with it. Then for dessert I've made some chocolate cupcakes. For a little extra treat for Precious Princess, I've also dipped her favourite fruit into the chocolate ganash. I know it doesn't bring her daddy home any faster, but who wouldn't feel better after this?!

I'm a nervous wreck doing this! My first attempt at blogging...................................my dear daughter, who I will call Precious Princess, has finally talked me into blogging. It could be quite a bumpy ride at first because I'm not that computer savvy. My husband (who I'll call One True Love) is overseas working right now, so I'm trying to keep my mind busy so that the time goes faster, that means I'll have to muddle through this together with Precious Princess. Talk about the blind leading the blind! lol

I've been reading some really wonderful blogs over the last few weeks, and even though I am certainly NOT in their league (they are truly beautiful), these ladies have unknowingly inspired me to jump on the blogging band wagon.
