Tatting along........

I tatted this cross for another senior who
recently joined our Sunday night group.
It's tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Red Burst.
Next, I wanted to empty a shuttle and tried to tat
my own tiny heart design.  It's ok in the picture, but
not to my liking.
Attempting another heart I ended up with this cute
little motif.  It kind of resembles a heart.
Now, this is so far off from what I thought I was
going to tat.  I wanted a bracelet, but when the first
round curled instead of going straight I knew it was
not a bracelet.  I tatted the second round and like it.
Then, trying for a bracelet shape again, I ended up
with a pretty bracelet!!  :)
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Coral Med.(I believe).
And, yesterday while out I found these cute turkey
buttons.  They had little signs which said pardon me
and pick him, but I only wanted the turkeys for these
fabric yoyos to put on headbands or barrettes.  Well,
our older granddaughter saw them and wanted to know
how much I wanted for them and I told her I didn't
know yet, and she claimed the bottom right one for
her own and wants it put on a pin.
Her sister has claimed one of our daughter's fabric
pumpkins already.
Well, it's been a long day after a super long sleepless
night and we have to be up in less than 8 hours.  I
am going to try and find sleep again.
Have a wonderful day or night wherever you are,
and get your tatting in!! :)

Side view of shell pendants & an Ice Drop

Ok, here is a picture of one of the sets of the shell
necklace and earring sets I have been adding tatting
to.  This is the set I will be adding the Tropical
Punch colored tatting to.
I was asked for a side view of the pendants.
Here is a side view.  They are very thin.
If you are wondering what is in the window, it's
my "giant" snowman suncatcher with a tatted
center(belly).  I have plans to add more tatting, but
a million other things have prevented me from getting
it done so far, but I still love having it in the window!!
Here is a side view of the pendants I have already
added tatting to.
Still working to empty my Tatsy shuttle and got
another Ice Drop done.  I love this one!! :)
And got this motif which would be a back
of an Ice Drop, but I don't want to wind a
shuttle to add the front.  So...my Tatsy
is finally empty(it was only half full).
Have an awesome week of tatting and
hopefully lots of love!!! :)

2017 25 Motif Challenge # 10

This is not terrible hard, but I started and made
a major mistake of joining all the large rings as
well as the small rings which was not working.
It's tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Black and Rainbow
Splash. Colors inspired by Tatting Tatsright
from Facebook. The pattern is here:
It's the bottom pattern, although I am planning
on trying the top pattern when possible.  :)
I also worked on a few other things today.
I was trying to tat a small Ice Drop with the small
clear gem, but it kept slipping out of the tatting
so I tatted chains with tiny beads around the front
to tighten it a bit.  ;)  The Peacock Blue pieces
on top were supposed to be for it, but..... they
were not large enough so I thought some young
girl would like them for earrings, so I have to
assemble them.
And, I am working on a lanyard for a friend.  I have
failed twice at doing what I wanted to do, so I decided
to wing-it and just tat!!!  I will post it when it's done...
maybe.  ;)
Have a wonderful weekend, and
Happy Tatting!!!!!!!!  :)

2015 25 Motif Challenge #2

Since I tatted this one according to directions I am including it as one of my challenge pieces.
This is Jane Eborall's Ferris Wheel Motif
It's tatted in size 20(Lizbeth) HDT from Custom Cotton Etc.
The colorway name is *Over the Rainbow*, and size 20 Lizbeth Lilac Dk.
This is another beautiful motif designed by Jane!!!  I decided right away to pay very close attention, and I did and I didn't have to take any mistakes out!!  I think it's much prettier in person!
Have a happy tatting day!!!  :)

Another quilting thread motif in a different color

Here is another motif from Tatting Patterns and Designs by Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson.  It's Star #2 from page39.
It's tatted in another quilting thread.  I think I really like this colorway!!!  I have to figure something else to tat with it.  :)  Oh, I don't believe it's tatted correctly.  I followed the pattern, but the picture seems to have the center all joined to one picot and the center chains joined too.  Oh well, I like it the way it is.  :)

Trying some HWT(hand wound thread)

Wanting to do something different.  I decided to try some HWT and tat something.
This was a combination of 3 threads-2 quilting threads(pictured below) and a size 80 DMC green which I received from Lace Lovin' Librarian-Diane.  I am not crazy about the color combo, but it makes me think of autumn leaves on green grass.
Here are the 2 quilting threads I used.
Here is the combination of the 2 quilting threads without the green in a motif from the book Tatting Patterns and Designs from Gun Blomqvist and Elwy Persson page 41 star #2.
Here are my pictures from Tollway Tatters....
 Barbara and Carrie tatting.
Marilee and Gwen(please forgive me if I have the wrong name here) tatting.
 Diane at lunch time.  :)
 Carol, Sue Anna, and Marilee.
Marilee's fabulous tatting!!  :)
And just so the Tollway Tatters know that I made it home to get that extra large batch of sloppy joes done, here is a picture:
That is a 7 or 7 1/2 quart slowcooker filled to the top.  It went fast too!!  :)

Just playing with a doodad

Playing with one of the doodads from that last post.  It's a square.  My tatting started square and ended up round and with some dimension.  I like it, but am now trying to figure out what to do with it.  :)
These are the best pictures I could get.  The threads are Lizbeth size 40 Fruit Fizz and Raspberry.  And the beads were from Jon at Tat-A-Renda.

This was going to be motif #5, but....

I was working on this motif called Rose Medallion #39 from Tatting with Anne Orr. And it has turned out good, yet I didn't exactly joined the "rose" chains the way they were supposed to be, but my husband and daughter think it's awesome and so do I, so.... I am going to leave this one the way it is and try another true to the pattern for motif #5.
I think I need a better camera to make my tatting look better and not so fuzzy! :)

Motif #3

I took a break from the doily and here is the motif I have been working on. It's a Square Medallion # 28 from Tatting with Anne Orr. I was so excited that I wasn't making too many mistakes and just before I finished the last "clover" and chain I thought I was done and had cut the threads and then realized I had messed up and had to tie the threads together to finish, but it's done and it looks ok.
