Oggi vorrei riparlare di Progetto Z e clix vari...
Tanto tempo fa, uno dei primi modelli che realizzai per Progetto Z, doveva rappresentare un giovane con una giacca da college. Nel tempo, anche Zerloon decise di realizzare un modello vestito con lo stesso tipo di giacca, decretando di fatto che il college nei dintorni della cittadina americana dove abbiamo ambientato PZ aveva come colori sociali il bianco ed il rosso.
Volendo portare avanti questo concetto, decisi poi di dipingere un segnalino obiettivo rappresentante una borsa da palestra ed il borsone di un altro modello con questi stessi colori..
Oggi ho deciso di continuare sulla stessa strada ed ho leggermente adattato la giacca dell'ennesimo clix che ho poi ridipinto. Ho inoltre deciso di "prendere ispirazione" dal lavoro di Bandit86 ed ho utilizzato una pistola della Wargames Factory, un'idea semplice ma che porta risultati ottimi... ;)

Today I want to talk again about "Progetto Z" and various clix ...
Long ago, one of the first models for "Progetto Z" I've done, was supposed to represent a young man with a college jacket. In time, even Zerloon decided to paint a model dressed in the same type of jacket, decreeing that the college on the outskirts of our fictious American town where we had set the "PZ" game had white and red as colors.
Wanting to pursue this concept, I decided then to paint an objective marker representing a gym bag and the bag of another model with these same colors ..
Today I decided to continue on the same road and I slightly adapted the jacket of the umpteenth clix that I then repainted. I also decided to "take inspiration" from Bandit86 work and I used a Wargames Factory handgun for his left hand, a simple idea but it brings good results ... ;)

come promesso nel mio ultimo post, ho deciso di completare almeno un altro dei modelli che avevo in lavorazione per l'edizione di Zombtobre di quest'anno anche se  siamo ormai a Novembre.
Questa settimana ho deciso di convertire e dipingere una sopravvissuta dotata di un abbondatnte "carattere"... ;)

Hi Everybody,
as promised in my last post, I've decided to complete one of the models I was working on for this year Zombtober even if we are in November now.
This week I've decided to convert and paint a female survivor with abundant "character"... ;)
Partendo dal solito clix sverniciato, ho proceduto con l'eliminare le braccia e la testa della miniatura. A questo punto ho frugato fra i pezzi della scatola delle sopravvissute della wargames factory (eccellente scatola!!) ed ho selezionato 2 braccia ed una testa che ritenevo fossero adatte. Dopo aver imperniato i pezzi in una posa che ritenevo accattivante, ho completato il tutto scolpendo una maglietta e delle tasche sui pantaloni. Considerando che la ragazza sembra essere innegabilmente in forma, ho pensato di dipingerla con un jeans aderente ed una maglietta sportiva.

Starting from the usual paint-stripped clix, I proceeded to remove the arms and head of the model. At this point I rummaged between the bits of the Wargames Factory Women survivors (excellent box btw!) and selected 2 arms and an head that I thought were suitable. Having posed the bits in an attractive way, I completed the miniature sculpting a T-shirt and the pants pockets. Considering that this girl seems to be undeniably in good shape and fit, I thought I'd paint her with tight jeans and a sports shirt.
Ho infine ricoperto la base di materia verde che ho testurizzato con della carta vetrata ed ho provato a scolpire un pacchetto di sigarette abbandonato a terra... Che ve ne pare??? :)

I then covered the base with some green stuff and I texturized it with a bit of sand paper. Finally I tried to sculpt an abandoned cigarettes packet.... What do you think??? :)

Parlando di tutt'altro, vi segnalo che siamo nel rush finale del Kickstarter di Mars Attack che finirà Domenica, tra le moltissime cose molto interessanti vi consiglio di dare un'occhiata agli eroi di Greenville che dovrebbero essere adattissimi da usare come sopravvissuti ....

questa settimana si conclude lo Zombtobre, anche se la mia produzione non è minimamente paragonabile a quella degli altri partecipanti a questa simpatica iniziativa, devo dire di essere soddisfatto del fatto di aver grosso modo rispettato (escludendo il ritardo iniziale) le scadenze.

Ciao a tutti,
per la terza settimana dello Zombtober ho deciso di realizzare qualcosa di speciale. Partendo dal solito clix (questa volta ho usato il Joker Thug), ho cercato di sostituire il fucile del modello e, soprattutto, sfruttando una certa somiglianza con un brutto ceffo di mia conoscenza (quello a destra), ho deciso di arrischiarmi in un "ritratto".
Con la materia verde ho riposizionato le braccia del modello ed ho cercato di unire i vari elementi nel modo più pulito possibile ed ho quindi scolpito la folta barba Zerlooniana.
Per la pittura ho deciso di provare qualcosa di inusuale ed ho deciso di cercare a riprodurre una t-shirt di montmartre che Zerloon apprezza molto.

Hello to all,
for the third Zombtober week, I decided to make something special. Starting from the usual clix (this time I used the Joker Thug), I tried to replace the rifle of the model and, more importantly, by exploiting a certain resemblance with an ugly face of my acquaintance (the one on the right), I decided to try to do a "portrait ".
With the green stuff I repositioned the arms of the model and tried to join the various elements as cleanly as possible and then I sculpted the famous Zerloonian beard.
For the painting I decided to try something unusual and I decided to try to reproduce a montmartre t-shirt that Zerloon likes.

anche questa settimana ho rischiato di bucare la scadenza della Domenica... In extremis, quindi, ecco a voi la mia Zombie Crawler (Zombie strisciante).
Devo confessare che la miniatura della Wargames factory era in realtà una scusa per modificare e dipingere la cassetta postale che ho riciclato da questo clix. Essendo il modello un pezzo unico, ho scavato con il taglierino la parte inferiore per ottenere le zampe della cassetta.

I risked to miss the Sunday deadline this week too but, at the last minute, here is my Zombie Crawler.
I must confess that this wargames factory miniature was actually an excuse to modify and paint the mailbox that I recycled from this clix. Being the mailbox model a one piece lump of plastic, I carved with my cutter the lower part to do the box legs.

Men in Black

Since the typical player who participates in the convention activities is, usually, really clumsy, we always find ourselves at the end of the day with some badly damaged miniatures... For this reason, I've decided to modify or simply repaint a group of Men in Black starting from various clix.

Per migliorare infine il colpo d'occhio globale dello scenario, ho anche completato alcuni arredi urbani..
Per ora è tutto, spero di rimediare alcune foto del tavolo da gioco completo poiché la mia macchinetta fotografica era sfortunatamente scarica.. :(

approfittando della pazienza della mia mogliettina, Domenica scorsa ho provato ad allestire una partita di prova ad ATZ, non volendo ancora iniziare la mia campagna vera e propria, ho provato a giocare un Flashback del gruppo di sopravvissuti che avevo inaugurato a Progetto Z parecchio tempo fa.
Avrei voluto fare un report più dettagliato ma, purtroppo, la mia macchinetta fotografica mi ha abbandonato a metà partita, quindi, temo che dovrete accontentarvi di un Report piuttosto narrativo... ;)

Ad essere sinceri, devo confessare di aver fatto un grosso errore di valutazione nel scegliere di giocare la mia prima vera partita in solitaria in ambiente urbano, qualunque azione facessero i miei protagonisti attirava orde intere di Zombie, non il miglior modo di imparare le regole ad essere onesti e sono sicuro di aver fatto decine di errori.

Hi Boys and Girls,
taking advantage of the patience of my wife, last Sunday I tried to set up an ATZ test match, unwilling to begin my "real" campaign, I tried to play a flashback for the group of survivors I first used in Project Z a long time ago.
I wanted to do a more detailed report but, unfortunately, my camera abandoned me middle game, I'm then afraid you'll have to settle for a fairly narrative report instead... ;)
 
To be honest, I have to confess that I made ​​a big error of judgment in choosing to play my first real solitary  ATZ game in an urban environment, any action did by my characters attracted whole hordes of Zombies, not the best way to learn the rules and I'm sure I've made dozens of errors.

Dopo una lunga attesa nella quale mi sono dedicato ad altri progetti, ho finalmente trovato il tempo di dipingere l'unico Zombie in plastica della Studio miniatures che avevo assemblato..
Essendo il primo di una lunga serie ho deciso di dedicarmici con un pizzico di attenzione in più senza dimenticare che mi stavo comunque dedicando ad uno zombie! ;)

After a long pause , I've finally decided to find the time to paint the lone Studio miniatures plastic zombie I've already assembled..
Since this will be the first of a long serie, I've decided to dedicate him a little more attention without forgetting that I'm about to paint a Zombie! ;)

Devo dire di essere soddisfatto, il modello si pulisce senza sforzo e rapidamente, anche se i dettagli non sono molto marcati, la qualità è eccellente.... Ora altri 79!!!

I must say I'm satisfied, the miniature was rapidly and easily cleaned, even if the details aren't really "sharp", the quality of the model is excellent... Now I've got 79 more to do!!!

Ciao a tutti,
ho da poco ricevuto un nuovo "carico" di clix e mi sono subito dato da fare con taglierino, materia verde e scalpelli...
Volendo dare una compagnia femminile ad un mio vecchio pezzo per il Progetto Z, ho deciso di usare come base il modello di Liz Sherman della serie Dark Horse.
Poiché le gambe e la mano sinistra erano inglobate nelle fiamme, ho deciso di tagliare via tutto. Ho poi sostituito le gambe con quelle di un non identificato clix ed ho riposizionato il braccio destro (troppo arretrato) e riscolpito l'avambraccio sinistro in modo da fargli afferrare correttamente il fucile.
Dopo aver eliminato gli elementi dell'equipaggiamento che non mi piacevano, come il coltello sulla gamba, ho scolpito alcuni astucci aggiuntivi sul cinturone ed ho allisciato il fondo schiena e la gamba sinistra.

Hi Guys,
I've recently received a new batch of clixs and I immediately started to work with my cutter, Green stuff and chisels..
Wanting to give feminine company to one of my old models for Progetto Z, I decided to use the Dark Horse serie Liz Sherman.
Since the legs and the left hand were "in flame", I've decided to cut away everything. I've then swapped the legs with the one of this clix. After repositioning the right arm (too backward) and resculpted the left one to properly grip the gun.
After shaving away the equipment I didn't liked, like the knife on the left leg, I've tried to resculpt some additional pouches on the belt, I then smoothed roughly her left leg and her bottom...

Spero vi piaccia, l'unica cosa ancora da fare è di aggiungere qualche foglia sulla base...
Aspetto i vostri commenti/consigli, che ve ne pare??

in questi giorni ho portato avanti la modifica e la pittura di alcuni clix per "Progetto Z", per ora vi mostro il primo che ho completato.

Hi Guys,
in those days I have continued my convertion/painting work of some clix for "Progetto Z", for now I'll show you the first I've completed.

"Henchman Heroclix 103 Arkham Asylum" with a West wind pict head

Nulla di speciale per questo modello, mi sono solo limitato a sostituire la mano con la pistola, abbassare il braccio destro, sostituire la testa con quella di un guerriero pitto della West wind miniatures e stuccare dove serviva.
La pittura è stata ancora più veloce, senza neanche passare l'undercoat, ho dipinto con i colori foundation direttamente il modello, tempo necessario per realizzare tutto (compresa la conversione) circa 35 minuti... non male direi.. ;)

Nothing special for this model, I've just swapped his pistol hand with the one of another clix, I've lowered a bit the right arm, swapped the head for the one of a west wind pictish warrior and "greenstuffed" where needed.
The painting was even faster, I didn't even undercoated the model and painted everything with foundation paints. Total time needed, 35 minutes.... not bad... ;)

dopo una breve pausa dovuta ad una commissione alla quale sto lavorando, ho continuato a dedicare la mia modellistica attenzione al "progetto Z".
Visto che nel mio sondaggino di qualche tempo fa mi avevate chiesto di modificare un clix, ho deciso di provare a spingermi un po' oltre con la conversione.
Dopo una breve riflessione ho deciso di utilizzare la parte alta dello stesso clix che usai per realizzare la mia civile in fuga, per le gambe, invece, ho deciso di utilizzare quelle di Tiger Lily.
Dopo un lungo lavoro (confesso di aver tagliato via il tutto e ricominciato da capo alcune volte) ho cercato di ottenere l'effetto di una camicia aperta su di un top che lasciasse scoperto l'ombellico. Una volta ottenuto il tutto, ho provato a scolpire i capelli della ragazza con i capelli raccolti in una coda di cavallo (mia vera e propria passione, ad ognuno la sua!! ;P)

after a short break due to a commission which I am working on, I continued to devote modelling attention to "progetto Z".
In my little poll from some time ago, you asked me to modify a clix for modern gaming, I then decided to try to push a little further my modelling skills in this conversion.
After a brief reflection I decided to use the upper part of the same clix that I used to make my running civilian from a while back, for the legs, used those from the Tiger Lily clix.
After a long work (I confess to having cut off the whole thing and started over a few times) I tried to get the effect of an open shirt on a top that doesn't cover the belly. Once everything perfectly cured, I tried to sculpt the hair of the girl trying to obtain a ponytail (a real passion of mine, everyone has fetishes! ;P)
Per ultimo ho completato la pittura del modello, devo dire in tutta onestà di non essere del tutto soddisfatto della camicia però volevo provare qualcosa di diverso, spero vi piaccia....

Lastly I've completed the paintjob of the model, honestly I'm not overjoyed of the shirt but I wanted to try something different, I hope you like it...
