It's been a while since we have done a gardening post...there just isn't much to report on in the winter...lots of brown everywhere! If you want to see more wonderful gardens check out the Society of Feline Gardeners and Master Gardener Jonsie! Our friend Buddy has come back out to help eat the seeds on the ground...the cats love to watch him! The tulips are blooming now...you can also see that the blooms on the daffodils have gone. Now we just have those green stalks for a few more weeks. Eventually we will get tired of looking at them and tie them back into neat bundles. We've heard you aren't supposed to cut them off because it will impact the size of the blooms the next year. We aren't sure if this is just an old wives tale or not...anyone else familiar with this practice?

Cousin Pirate could use some purrs from the community for his rear area. He ruptured an anal gland on Sunday, and now has a drain in place. The drain should be removed on Thursday. He is on pain meds in the mean time to deal with the discomfort. He is taking it well, and did not have to start wearing the cone of shame until about 1:30 last night. Photo taken a few hours after he came home yesterday. I think if you biggify you can see the drain better and the stitches.

This package has been sitting by the door for almost two weeks now. Mom mentioned something about an upcoming birthday...Tanner is the next one. We wonder if it is something for him. We are waiting and waiting...We wonder what it could be?

Smokey loves to drink water from a glass. I keep a glass on this side table for him, and the others. He will sit there and just look at me in the kitchen, if it needs to be filled again.
Do you see his tongue? It's quite long to reach into the glass for the water...I should refill his glass. Luckily, he still thinks his glass is half full :)

Mom has hijacked our blog today...she and Auntie saw this plaque while on vacation and thought it was great! We hope you enjoy!

Mancats enjoy fresh air and window whiffies. We have been able to enjoy the warmer weather for a while now, and take full advantage on weekends when mom and Auntie are home.
Tanner went for a spot with a view, while Devon preferred a sun puddle.

Today we are joining BlogPaw Be The Change for Pets and others for "Paws for Japan Day". Sparkle is holding a commentathon today to raise funds for the relief efforts in this country. The devastation is great, but so is the out-pouring of love and support. We reflect now with a few pictures mom took when she visited Japan in 2008.

Smokey is Goose Cute because I started calling him Goose shortly after I got him. I am not sure why, but it stuck. He will come to Goose or Smokey. The cute part is obvious :)

How about this cute pair of black cats for our Two on Tuesday...mom saw this and couldn't resist...she is a sucker for anything with a black cat, or two on it!

Well, it's been a while since we were able to do a garden post, but several things are happening now that winter is closing down...let's take a look.
Our brocolli is growing in the front yard. We don't plan on eating it, but it adds interest to the landscape. The pizza delivery lady even commented it on it recently!
