the LA fair

so a few weeks ago i went to the la county fair. it was a lot of fun... a ton of stuff. we ended up walking into a expo building where there were a bunch of things to buy and look at.

the only bad thing was the walking lanes between the booths were really narrow. so if some one stopped to look at something of interest it would cause a bottle neck traffic jam like rush hour on the 405.

ants

So the past couple of weeks or so we've been locked in an ongoing battle with ants. At this point I think we're winning, but who knows how long that will last.

This all reminds me of my very first ant invasion...

I was about 3 or 4 years old. Like any normal toddler, I enjoyed the occasional juice and american cheese slice as a pre bedtime snack.

To keep things tidy, I decided to stuff my 4th piece of half eaten cheese into the side of my water bed.

As I drifted off to slumber, the ants invaded ruining my bed picnic.

I ran in and told mom who was less than sympathetic.

We spent the rest of the night fighting off the ants... My mom with her vacuum and me with my jumbo red crayon... And that's where the bad blood between me and ants started.
