Pat Nicolle provides some lovely pen-work to this strip which appeared in the 28th May1960, edition of Lion.

I've isolated a couple of the creatures so we can oggle the textures.

Initially appearing in 1961, 4 issues of Commando comics are still being published every fortnight. Check out the website here. There's a free issue for you to sample too.

The comics are printed in a pocket-size format with a glossy, colour, cover and black and white interior art. Here's a small example below, followed by some covers painted by the great Ian Kennedy.
