A Little Thank You On White Wednesday!

Hello everyone I know I have been missing in action these days. Just wanted to say thank you to Tracy for my magazine Jeanne j Are Living...It's to die for really lifted my spirits. I really had the winter blues this year looking forward to spring in the air. How about you?? I wanted to post my little makeover but not fully ready I guess you will have to wait for next week.
It seems like every week the kids have had a vacation 1/2 day snow day ect. I love my kids but not much time lately to get into a grove and get things done that i wanted to this school year!! Oh well

Happy Anniversary Sandi on your 1st year of blogging!

Hello everyone hope you are having a great week! I just wanted to give my sister -n- law at acottagemuse.blogspot.com a big CONGRATULATIONS!! on her 1yr anniversary blogging!! Wow times flies when your having fun! I can't believe how fast that has gone, I remember our phone conversation about it like it was yesterday and you convinced me to try it again... Well I have but not as well as you though with over 300 followers and mine 26 LOL!!

You did well right from the start and only have gotten better! So happy for you!! You are doing what you love keep at it and I'm sure your dream will come true very soon! Sandi is how I found most of you and introduced me to "White Wednesday"....my favorite day in blog world. If you haven't yet make sure to stop over at A Cottage Muse and wish her a Happy Anniversary!

So to get on with my little blog of nothings lately I'm still deciding what colors to choose and my house is ripped apart so no new posts on that yet but hopefully soon. Although I did move a couple of pieces again I know I have problems..Let me know what ya think

This was in the office now in the entry way

This piece was given to my mom from my dad's sister it was green. When we first moved here it was in my daughters room then made it down to the office now at the front door when you walk in

I think it will do for now anyway I do have a hall closet but this one can be for guests. you can hang Jackets and put your shoes on the bottom

Then there is this piece again from kitchen/dining to entry way to now in the living room
this piece was maple and left at my mothers cape house she once rented out. Now mine!!

That's what you get for not paying your rent..

This is where it will stay for now until I paint the living room, but I think I do like it here with some of my vintage finds to display on it!!

~White Wednesday~

Well it is truly a White Wednesday today in my neck of the woods! Well all of January and now the second day of February,

I don't know about you but I got a whole lot of nothing done for the month of January. I have to say a lot of brain storming on what colors to paint my home but making myself a little crazy being in the house so much. I know I should try to get out more but not a lover of the cold just go out to shovel the walk way! All the snow and the narrow roads makes it hard to get around and not a safe feeling of getting around when a car comes along....I know excuses excuses

Here are those famous words again! That my husband is not to fan of!!

I know I haven't posted too much lately its been so hard to get things done I don't think the kids have had a full week of school all month they had half a day yesterday and now home again today! So I have to try to keep them busy or usually running them here and there. When I start a project I like to do it right in the morning it's like the gym for me if I don't go first thing in the morning it just doesn't get done! Since I haven't gotten to the paint store I have moved some things around..surprise surprise I guess I can show you a few right now to start... Our foyer when you walk in the front door. I know I've shown you this before but made a few little changes.

This mirror has been moved around quite a bit it was in my kitchen/dining. Now she
greets you when you walk in the door! This is one of my favs I got from Marshall's

I changed out the old lantern for the white one just in time for

White Wednesday!

So I've decided the blues and the browns are going!! My Hubby is going to kill me since he thinks the house should not need to be painted again until my son graduates. Doesn't he know me by now!!

Its partly because of this and those Pottery Barn Catalogs that keep coming to my house almost daily!

What would I do with out them?? Especially after this winter.. Well Have a Happy White Wednesday once again! Keep warm where ever you are and if you are warm I'm very jealous ha ha

White Wednesday!

Hello all! Happy White Wednesday! Last week I mentioned My Living room will be getting a little make over this Winter and hopefully will be done in the spring, Nothing too crazy! Just the walls and a few new pieces I will add that I'm working on which you would think with all this in the house stuff (because of all the snow) I would be getting them done!!... Ha Ha. I think I definitely have the winter blues.

I received an e-mail the other day saying about 62 days left until spring made me feel a little better!...thanks John our old Realtor. So I was going to show you a new piece for White Wednesday at Kathleen's and maybe A Beach Cottage if I can figure out how to do it all still learning a few things...nothing is ever easy

I decided to give it a coat of white as you can see thinking maybe I should have left it the way it was not too sure yet or even paint the whole thing. going to leave it for now. Let me know what you think!!

Let It snow!

So I guess we are getting some snow! My husband is not a fan of these words! Let it snow..

he will have to go out to plow all day and night and never really gets to enjoy it with the kids until a few days later. When we first moved into the neighborhood they thought he was missing in action since he was never around when it snowed! We moved in Nov 2004 so we never really met anyone until April 2004 when the snow was gone!

Yup it's snowing he is out the door at 2:30am and it is coming down pretty good!

This is almost an hour later foot prints are gone yikes! It's really here!! ugh....

It will be nice not to run out in the morning and have the kids home as long as there is no fighting!! Everything gets put on hold no gym no painting projects I wanted to get done! I have been getting a few things on my New Years list done this week since last week was a bust!

   1 Gym-check
   2 diet-so so
   3 organize- doing pretty good
   4 OK I think this is my second post

5 paint I did get done a few projects

     6 I'm always cleaning anyway
   7 ?....many more to many to list


   So In a few hours hopefully the kids will be shoveling ha ha and sledding! and speaking of sledding here is an old sled I finally pulled out of the attic and gave it a little coat of paint! Decided to add to the living room as I'm screaming up once again in my head some changes for a new living room for a New Year!

So this is one project I did get done this week! Still working on my clock from last post not sure if I'm liking how it is coming out but I will show you soon and you can let me know what you think! And this is one more little thing this wooded bowl I painted and added some stenciling.... planning on adding some new pieces on Friday to my etsy... hopefully anyway.

so glad but sad to!!

Hello all so Happy its Wednesday for White Wednesday!! (Yes I know how many times have I said it!) but it is one of my fav days in blog world. I just love seeing a ll the whites and I've hated missing it the last month or so. So one of my New years resolutions was to get back into to it. But for some reason so hard these.days.

And today I'm sad too because our dear friends and neighbors are moving today! I'm helping her now as I speak. She is very private person and has no idea I'm writing this but she doesn't know about my blog. If you could see the stuff they are leaving it would be any ones dream to scoop up but I never would because it is a sad situation. Any way I wish them the best and we will miss them dearly staying in the same town so we should still see them but will miss having them right next door!

I will miss running through the snow to hang with them in their kitchen

and watching the kids play whiffle ball in between the yards! And watching them grow!!

I know Christmas is over but I still kept this out I just love these two sweet angels

Out with Old in with the New!!..and try to guess and win a prize

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!!

I don't know about you but all my New Years resolutions went right out the window!!

And speaking of window just wanted to show you a New Window I picked up before the holidays. Still trying to figure out where to put her? I may have to add some cracks and dents. Shall I sell her her shall I keep her that is the question!!

This was my list to start the New Years off right but sick little girl home with a stomach bug! Kept me in well I should be able to do the rest right?? We'll see... I did manage to get some cleaning done and throw some things out as they say out with old in with the new. Well I don't know how much new you will find around my house trying to use what I have!

I really want to try to do more of what I love to do! Like get that Etsy shop going!! So I really need to get some of those projects done. Oh that's another thing that should be on my New Years list...

And speaking of old this clock I'm going to make look new

I know hard to vision but I think it would look really nice when I'm done with her...not sure yet but have a few ideas

Trying to give you a better view which is hard to do she behind a bunch of other projects. Can you guess what I'm going to do to her??

hmm that gives me an idea the first to guess what it is and is right will win a prize!! Not sure what it will be maybe something old or maybe something new you can pick if your the winner.

I guess that is it for today and I guess my new years list didn't go completely out that window.. I did blog yahoo and did clean out a closet and organize at least my son's room any way!!
