HELP ID 2 Golden Oldie Qld FLOOD Dogs ! URGENT !!
UPDATE !!
next day - Jan 19th
Black Labrador "Comet" has been reunited with his owner !
A man in ENGLAND saw how we (anipals) were all tweeting about 2 unidentified Queensland flood rescue dogs. The man's cousin in Brisbane had just lost everything he owned in the Qld floods. The Brisbane family were distraught when their 12 year old "Comet" panicked and broke free during evacuation, never to be seen again. The weeping owner said they didn't care about the house or the cars or possessions, they just wanted their dog back. With "Comet", they had a reason to keep going. Today they were reunited, amongst a flood of 'happy' tears !!
Comet's owners are eternally grateful to each single one of you who RT'd the tweet !! You have given them a reason to rebuild their lives. Congratulations Twitterverse !
Kelpie-cross girl dog still searching for her owner !
She is not doing well; fretting and frail. She may be older than 12 years and has an arthritic hip. She swam for her life and deserves every chance she can get to be reunited with her owner too.
PLEASE keep RT-ing this blog site until we find her owner, who obviously does not know she is still alive!
Prior to Update:
These beautiful Golden Oldie dogs were both plucked from raging torrents of water during the Queensland Floods, Australia. Although rescued in separate locations, they were swimming for their lives when dragged to safe ground.

They were taken to RSPCA Brisbane, but then transferred to @AWLQ, Gold Coast. Neither of them have any identification. They are both Golden Oldies, over 8 years old.
Although they are doing their best "cute face" for the camera, they are both quite traumatized. And really missing their owners!
The black Labrador is a boy, and the Kelpie cross is a girl. They both appeared well cared for, which means their owners would be distraught incase they had drowned.
If you know either of these 2 dogs: contact either myself, @PepiSmartDog, or @AWLQ (The Animal Welfare League Queensland), immediately! These dogs only have days left before being put up for adoption. AWLQ want to give these pets every opportunity to be reunited with their "Forever Family" before making any further decisions.
Please RT this blog link to anyone you think may be Australian. Someone has to know who they are!

A Pet's 10 Commandments
A PET'S 10 COMMANDMENTS, to help make their life a quality life:
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I only have you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bare to watch. Don't make me face this alone! Everything is easier if you are there, because I love you so.
Take a moment to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take dog care of them. Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters!
We do not have to wait to be surrounded by hope, love, and joyfulness. It is here on earth and has four legs!

Anipal Photo Hunt #16 My Other Job
I was the Official Poster Boy for The Animal Welfare League (@AWLQ), Qld, Australia. I regularly appeared in magazines, newspapers and even television.
I am even in one National Media Photographer's Resume Book, alongside her photos of The Rolling Stones ! True story !
Crossing OTRB has not slowed me up ! I am still the Poster Boy for @AWLQ Golden Oldies. I raise money and awareness globally for Golden Oldies every opportunity I get, in an effort to remind Pals that we are the perfect pets !
I have also change the perception of Pals and their human's thinking about Pet Pram/Strollers ! People used to laugh and jeer at me in my Pram/Stroller. But Mum and I persevered ! We made Prams acceptable. Then we made Prams COOL !
Pram sales have now soared ! Prams are now considered a cool canine accessory. Kitteh Strollers too !
I also trained our neighbor dogs. They were allowed to accompany Mum and I on our daily 6 mile run, where I would instruct them about the refinements of life, such as manners ! Neighbor dog Bonnie was my best friend. Because she is so tall, I taught her to lay on the ground to talk to me. Saved me getting a neck cramp ! I was a "mentor" to many younger dogs.
But when the camera crews went home and the pawty lights were turned off....I was just a regular little hairy guy.
Photograph: waiting to go on stage at an @AWLQ Function. Notice my pink cell phone; it actually rings ! (pic taken 2 days before I crossed OTRB).
Photograph: Official Media photograph from national newspaper publicity for @AWLQ. I even had 17 pics in a full Photo Gallery on the newspaper's Web Site !

Anipal Photo Hunt #15 The Vet
The Veterinarian Always Rings Twice !
*scream* *scream**scream*
*scream* *scream**scream*
I was allowed to come home because everything said I was in good shape! We were all so excited. But I was only home for less than 5 minutes when I had a major stroke, which I survived. Mum rushed me back to the ICU where my Canine Specialist was waiting for me.
A domino effect was taking place, where fixing one thing was damaging something else. I had just had a major brain hemorrhage. My quality of life would not be the same now.
As a gift of love, Mum put me to sleep and I died wrapped in her arms, with her telling me how much she loved me. The ICU nurses laid me in this special muslin bag and tied blue ribbons and flowers around it. My Vet, Dr. McDonald cried, and sent Mum flowers.
Lots of Pals don't like their vets, but I met some really good ones. Being a vet is not easy because Pals are usually very scared and just want to go home. Usually Pal's humans are also very upset.
So Pals please remember this: we are the luckiest Pals, because we have access to vets. Next time you see your vet, instead of biting them, try wagging your tail or give them a nose-tap! Use your charm on them! They really like that and then they can't help but spoil you rotten! BOL !

AnipalPhotoHunt #14 MOM !
AnipalPhotoHunt #13 Where I Stand
Here I am on my porch just before I went OTRB! BOL ! It's the same spot as where the top piccie was taken.
This pic was taken one minute after the top piccie; Mum just leaned over the fence. See the one in the background.....I think he's singing ! BOL !! (Notice how tame they are ! )
Sometimes we all have to pinch ourselves to realize what a great spot we are in.
