14900K, RTX 4080, 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM, M.2 SSD, 4K 144Hz HDR OLED monitor.
I got the biggest performance increases by:
Updating NVIDIA drivers to something after March 18, anything past April or may 2025 should work. (massive improvement, don't remember what %)
Go into the Nvidia App, and go into ASA specific settings. Set DLSS override for SuperRes and FrameGen to Latest (These 2 got me +30-50% FPS)
use the steam command line argument "-high", i think this made my game more "smoother" without adding FPS, just better.
I also use -USEALLAVAILABLECORES too
I use DLSS Balanced
You can turn Foliage Interaction/Dentiy/Quantity to their lowest (0.25 or 0.5)
Disable HI LOD
Disabled clouds with r.VolumetricCloud 0 always adds like 20 FPS
This is all for scorched earth. Despite having 16GB of VRAM, i think my 4080 runs out of VRAM and gets very suttery on other maps. Tons of FPS drops and instability on any map except scorched earth.
r.Lumen.Reflection.Allow = 0
r.Nanite.MaxPixelPerEdge = 4
r.VolumetricCloud = 0
r.VolumetricFog = 0
the most important settings.
if you want to make them permanent, without every time use console commands, put them in engine.ini under [SystemSettings] marker
