Neat little game I found from some challenge game hunting circles. Turns out this was actually a Geometry Dash level originally, but I don't really bother spending much time on that game in particular anymore.

Anyway, this is a platforming metroidvania which draws its biggest inspirations from You Have to Win the Game, as can be seen with the bite-sized screens and similar ability unlocks. The achievements only go as far as asking you to do 100% completion and a deathless run separately, but I wasn't satisfied enough. I figured pulling off this run wouldn't be too bad, and honestly, I don't think it is (primarily in part due to the bubble shield which gives you a not-so-forgiving second chance if you take damage). My playtime by the time I got all achievements was just around 3 hours, but I had just under 10 by the time I managed to get this run. I was very close to pulling off a successful run like this at 5 hours playtime, but I guess I really need to learn how to slow down and just practice the damn screens and levels before throwing myself head first into the fire.

Regardless, I'm proud of this run, and I also seem to be the first to do 100% without dying. I would have done this on No Death Mode, but there is currently one screen that is impossible to do—the first amulet piece room I go to has these one-time platforms that respawn upon touching a lantern, but No Death Mode completely removes all lanterns. That should be patched eventually, but good luck to the person willing to do what I did and accept only having one chance with the bubble shield.
