The AMX-50 Surblindé is a French, 70 tonne, incredibly rare and expensive heavy tank. The vehicle was given out as the highest tier reward in the first season of War Thunder's World War mode. At the moment, it sits at around 600$ on the community market. It is very similar to the AMX-50 Surbaissé in the normal tech tree, however this AMX-50 variant has upgraded hull/turret armor, a better engine, AND a 20mm autocannon on top! Sadly, even though the vehicle as upgraded armor, it really doesn't effect much. It plays exactly the same as the normal AMX-50 Surbaissé, other than the 20mm. They both have 6 second autoloaders that fire 120mm AP with 301mm's of maximum penetration. They both have rangefinders, which makes the AMX-50's very good snipers. The biggest issue with the Surblindé is the fact that it still sits at 8.0 BR. It does not belong at 8.0, simply put. The Surbaissé got rightfully dropped to 7.7, I don't understand why the Surblindé can't go to 7.7 as well. The 20mm and better armor do not justify this tank staying at 8.0. In its' current situation, it struggles to compete with many of the tanks it is commonly matched against. For example, Leopard A1A1's, T-62's, T-55AM-1's, Type 74's, all of the 9.0 premiums, absolutely obliterate it. If it was dropped to 7.7, it would be totally fine, balanced, and would much less frequently come into contact with the stabilized APFSDS slingers. Other than it being over-tiered, it is a very cool vehicle to play. It's gun is super satisfying, the tank itself is ultra-rare, and you can take pride in the fact that you are probably the heaviest tank on the battlefield, unless a Maus/E-100 is present, of course.
