Description

The IS-4M is a Russian 7.7 heavy tank. It carries the D-25T cannon all the way up to 7.7. It has a 27.1-20.8 second reload, at 7.7. Armor designed to fight conventional shells, at 7.7. BR-471D APHE, at 7.7. Do you see where I'm going with this? Everything this tank is, is old gen stuff, fighting HEAT, APFSDS, stabilizers, MBT's, etc. Normally, this would be fine, there are plenty of other vehicles in the game that have similar problems. The issue with the IS-4M is, it has literally nothing good going for it, other than it is almost entirely immune to conventional shells, which you very rarely see unless you are down-tiered. It isn't very mobile, obviously. It's armor does nothing against most the tanks you fight. The gun, while devastating if it pens, has been horribly nerfed by volumetric and you will find yourself routinely bouncing off of stupid things, and your reload speed is over three times as long as most of your opponents. In order for this tank to be successful, you /can't/ get shot at. Which completely defeats the purpose of a heavy tank like this. It isn't fast enough to /not get/ shot at. It does like, two things well. Killing things in one shot, if you penetrate, and bouncing APHE and AP. Neither of these two pro's come close to out-weighing the cons, and from my personal experience, I would avoid this vehicle at all cost.

I really want to love this tank, it is so friggin' badass and cool I wish it was fun to play, but I can easily say that this is one of my top 5 most dreaded tanks to use.
