My achievement hunting philosophy: I'm a gamer first and foremost and I enjoy fully completing games, primarily under my own power and exploration. However, the flip side is there are so many games on Steam now, and so many of low quality and effort, that they aren't worth spending more time on than is necessary to get all the achievements. Plus, a lot of them have insanely grindy requirements. So my approach depends on the game and has evolved over time, but I try to give every game a fair chance, and to do things on my own before looking up a guide. This does not always apply to playtests and demos as I will plan on playing the full game some time instead.

I will not skip through unread text in VNs just for achievements, unless they aren't in English (so that I can get them off my achievement hunting list and at least experience the visuals). I avoid cheat codes and dev consoles unless it is my last resort (due to grind, being done with the game otherwise, or it having overstayed its welcome), especially those that the author did not publish and RPG cheat menus. I didn't use auto clickers or scripts for quite some time (they are not allowed in some non-Steam achievement hunting communities), but to facilitate game completion and playing more of my games, I will now use only apps that have released on Steam for those purposes to enable extremely repetitive tasks (mostly millions of clicks requirements). I also prefer not to save scum when it is not enabled in-game and I do not change my system time/date except for achievements that only work on a date in the past (very rare).

If you cheat achievements or make fraudulent reviews you will be removed. Sometimes I also get tired of seeing friends who idle tons of games but never play them.

I'm usually invisible to avoid spamming notifications since I play a lot of idle games and games with quick achievements, so Steam might say I'm inactive. Also, Steam doesn't bother to show chat notifications, so if you send me a chat message I may not see it. I may be more responsive on other platforms, feel free to DM on Discord if needed.
