The PC community Split is the main reason it's a negative review.

For owners who own the DLC, stick with DX9.

If you don't own the DLC get this.

The updated graphics are hardly a difference; lights & torches now have a bloom effect around them, certain rooms are pitch black giving a eerier atmosphere in areas like the gutter.

So far, the only new items that I'm aware of the Set of the Forlorn, a sword, and a scythe.
The enemy placement in my opinion is an upgrade from base game I enjoy the layout much more. They might have copy pasted a few more enemies in areas compared to the original release but having access to enemies you'd only ever find in a NG+ playthrough on a fresh run is a welcoming change. You also find a larger variety of equipment & weapons spread as early as the first zone which spices up build variety. It is a tad troublesome to have to remember somethings that are different after memorizing the original release item locations but that's a me problem.

Overall this game is a GOTY edition and there isn't anything wrong with that, the thing that is wrong is the fact we had to pay for new servers, DX11, and a community split.
