Takes almost 24h to install. The 2GB Steam download is fast, but it's only the installer, then it has to download around 150GB more from horribly under-performing MS servers.

Beside that, it's generally good, but it's also *still* full of bugs, over 2 years after release.

The latest one? The engine throttles are stuck at 100% in the "Caribbean landing" 40th Anniversary activity.

Some others:
- When you pause, even though your aircraft seems indeed to have a locked position in space, it continues to do things. Like... gaining velocity. What kind of "pause" is this?
- Also in one of the training mission, the trim didn't work from my joystick, only way to adjust it was to use the mouse and try to move the wheel on screen... not a comfortable maneuver!
- Pre-flight weather configuration is broken: I set up a flight with specific wind, then when I loaded the flight, there was still the default wind as if I hadn't changed it.
- Flight assistance options for free flying get messed up anytime you do an activity.
- ATC behaves weirdly and their dialogs have many dead ends. For instance, I made a flight plan from airport A to airport B, I wasn't able to start talking to airport B before first asking and cancelling a landing clearance at airport A. Then when I was on ground, I asked to taxi to the refueling station, the only message I got back was something like "OK go to refuel", without any directions (it was a huge airport, I had no idea where to go), and the only option I had to reply was "Say again" (and if I didn't, ground control would just keep asking "did you hear me?").
- It's impossible to remap the air brake key. And my keyboard doesn't have the default key... Edit: actually I found it, the problem was that the in-tutorial name is "air brakes" but the settings name is "spoilers". Nice naming inconsistency
- Some achievements will fail to trigger on their described conditions. For some they trigger if very specific, stricter conditions are met. For some others, it's just random if you'll get them or not. For instance, the following achievements have issues: Anemoi, My Way, Stay on Target

Not a bug per se, but the 2 weekly activity achievements are currently impossible to obtain because... you guessed it, there are no weekly activities (and this has been going on for over a year now)

Lastly, the tutorial missions are disappointingly sparse. For airliners in particular, there are just 2 very short, very basic ones. Both make use of the autopilot (it's already configured properly), but without explaining how to use it at all.

Update on February 2023: Horrible download speed!

When I first installed the game, around Christmas 2022, the big download (around 120 GB) took 2-3h top. So I thought, "yay the crap speed mentioned in old reviews is a thing of the past".
Alas! Today, I accidentally got Steam to delete all data (I ran an integrity check, and Steam just wiped everything, thanks Valve!). And now it's been 5h and I'm still at like 30% downloaded... It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slow, I've seen sustained speed as low as 200kB/s and now it's back around 2-3MB/s. Way slower than the first time I installed.
The craziest thing is that, as far as I know, this is hosted on Azure, which is supposed to be a competitor to big efficient storage solutions like Backblaze B2, AWS S3 or GCS. Such transfer speeds are a complete shame, and certainly wouldn't encourage me to ever use Azure...
