♥♥♥♥♥♥ rigged game, where "progression" means nothing.
Grind grind grind grind for "higher level cars", which brings no advantage because they just come with higher level AI opponents as well.
MP is even worse as it keeps matchmaking you with people with similar cars, so you might as well just keep using the crappy cars that you get first instead of grinding for thousands of hours for the better but useless ones.

On the plus side, in MP you can just idle the races using "touch drive".
But it also tells you how worthless MP is, if a strategy is to just idle it...

Last but not least, this is basically a clone of "Disney Speedstorm". Typical Gameloft slop.

The UI made me cry

Cute game but gets boring fast, and also crashes way too often for such an old game (not saying it's too ancient, but that it should be patched and repatched and all polished by now)

Seeing a game with such graphics weigh largely over 20GB isn't even incompetence anymore, it's an insult.

Positive:
- chill and rather not grindy for an RPG, at least if you put it in easy mode
- nice graphics
- works great on a moderate GPU like the 3060 laptop, with nice graphics settings that even allow you to limit heating
- exploring on the broomstick is fun... once you FINALLY unlock said broomstick

Negative:
- as I mentioned, the broomstick is fun. But it takes quite a while to unlock it - before that, you're stuck with running around and "fast" travel (cf further for issues with both of these)
- the mounts are worthless, as they get unlocked after the broomstick yet are way less convenient
- the "open world" isn't so open, as you're not really free to follow quests as you wish. The orders of the separate quest lines are quite strongly linked, so you're not able to follow one quest line then move to the next, you'll rather do one quest from a quest line, then one from another, and another, and another, etc, before being able to move on back on the first quest line. I guess that's the easy way to avoid the typical TES chaos, but it gives a feeling of being in a tunnel, not an open world.
- some collectibles, like Merlin trials (for larger inventory space) and lockpicking, are really important but absolutely unfun to chase around
- "fast" travel isn't exactly "fast" considering the insane loading time every time you use it
- the game is over 2 year old, yet some bugs haven't been dealt with, in particular getting stuck on door EVERY SINGLE TIME if you try to pass through said door while running
- I just got stuck in a quest because the moth I was bringing along to a puzzle just vanished after I jumped over an obstacle, deactivating my light spell... So now, I've had enough of this thing. I had a screenshot of it, but apparently I deleted the local copy too soon after uploading, which also deleted the cloud copy. Smart Steam, smart.
- Last but not least, after uninstalling the game, it left a 1.2GB mess in C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy (pretty sure those are shaders)

As others said, the dev has been revoking key 7 years after selling them... Way to conduct business :x

Cons:
- Coming from MSFS2020 / 2024, feels like I've been demoted
- Graphics are less than so-so
- Piloting from a fixed point of view on the ground give me 3D-hardthink headaches
- The game refuses to launch at all if you don't plug your controller, which is stupid because you don't need the controller, for instance, to watch the (quite numerous!) video tutorials
- Quite expensive for a game that seems so dated (from where I stand, it looks like they've been re-releasing +/- the same thing every few years, for a few decades), not to mention the crazy amount of DLCs

Pros:
- This is fun
- DLCs are not needed, except if you really want a single particular one that matches your IRL plane
- Graphics are so simple that this runs perfectly on my iGPU: no more big fan noise, no more big electricity bill
