What's to say..? This game is my childhood. It came with the orange box when I purchased it alongside TF2 and Counter Strike on a CD all these years ago. Before steam completely moved to a digitized marketplace aside from their hardware.

Oddly enough it's RP demographic, (HL2RP for instance..) got me started on enjoying role-playing games. Despite it dying out now in recent years.

Aside from it's creative sandbox you can get lost for hours in, the creative talent of the workshop and scripting community is quite amazing.

The community however is quite toxic and it's nice to find a genuinely good server with a local community without it's undesirables, with a remote semblance of maturity. It's cheap, it's fun, it's great to play with friends-- I'd advise towards purchasing it and trying out the various gamemodes it has to offer.

One of the best games I've played, and it's beyond my head how many has enjoyed it before me even in THEIR childhood.

10/10, or beyond a 10 if even, also has very amazing mods to go with it such as The Specialists 3.0, and Master Sword Continued v1.2; get out there and enjoy the game, and play from their amazing modding community!

Really great game, first hour led me into what I think of the future, endless hours of gameplay.

Great Game 10/10; One of the greatest games to play

Just keep your butt away from server hoggers, they teamkill you at the begginning you spawn, then they try to votekick you like they "Own" the official servers, but it's a great game, just a damned warning.

An absolutely amazing zombie survival game set in an isometric sandbox theater. Go anywhere, any place, and equip yourself for almost any possible situation. There is more to explore and learn about this game the more you play it and the modding community helps breathe new life into the game when it is most unexpected. You can decide your experience and make it challenging at your own risk, pick negative traits and play only with them; or balance them out with positive traits, or play as an average joe. You have to grow crops and actually manage your time to reap the dividends; to make ends meet. You have to implement solutions to the real world issues you would face, such as reliable sources of drinking water, safeties, failsafes, emergency escapes.. You can build entire settlements and attempt to continue life and survival after the ruination and damnation of modernized society. Multiplayer is extremely fun and engaging, the game becomes more challenging but also more fun when playing with another, but no other game has also given me that race of anxiety, literal.. anxiety, when you hear the scratching or biting sound when your friend is back to back with you, fighting off zombies.. splitting the horde. It makes you worry, for their safety, for yours; after absolutely everything you have worked for the past few days, that a careless mistake can end it all- even on the lowest of settings. The roleplaying servers on these games are bliss once you can get your hands on them, the mechanics, the tools at your disposal and character customization options make interacting as a toon in this world swept into disarray, an experience to never forget.

Great game if you like zombie survival

A honestly great free game, I don't think it does it anymore, but should give you a hat in tf2, and allow you to play half life 2 wars source mod.

Amazing, Free version of Counter strike, Totally adds them all up to run off a steam engine, kind of like the mod "Action Half life:Source" cause it combines CSS + The Specialists and A:HS, Pretty amazing, I recommend it, Doesen't use too high graphics

I've been playing this nearly since it came out (2011 ? - now)

I'd like to say they have always been pushing out awesome content, treating their gaming veterans with respect and upmost professionalism, listening to their community; and offering daily monthly in-game revenue to life time subscribers. All the while still pushing out content almost-dual monthly since 2010 !

The game eats up a lot of your game storage, as the updates keep on going and going; but they usually, and typically- never cease to amaze. Just be prepared to allocate a lot of storage if your looking towards going into this massively multiplayer online game. It's a must have to add to the belt for trekkies, or genuinely curious passerbys - alongside your usual tricorder or phaser. I've had multiple friends on steam, and discord- who are afraid they do not know enough of the "Trek" lore to involve themselves in the game. While on the contrary, I was very young when I started playing this game; aside from my father's box of game discs, Armada II and movies... the game REALLY makes damn sure you understand the lore, and at your own pace- through carefully crafted and difficulty-scaled quests, and informative cutscenes. Do not be afraid to take the game out for a spin.

The combat is great, both in ground and space- I enjoy the visual effects, everything to do with space-faring naval aspects of Star Trek.. so I was always much more of an individual to hound after the space combat and skipping, or speedrunning through the ground combat. It may have been a mistake on my behalf, but please take the game slowly; and delicately, bring a handful of friends, too.

This is great dedication from a MMO provided by Arc, I have spent a lot of money on this MMO over time - but I am glad to say they are making it more fair and having a lot of things obtainable simply by playing and getting involved in fleets. Pay to win may stomp Free to play, as per usual in MMOs- but the clear separation is present. You can have fun, still, as a free-to-play user and have access to the same extent of absolutely everything, the mere presence of pay-to-win is to speed up time for individual or fleet based projects or goals. You can still play the game all the same.

You can mine for dilithium, refine it- and later visit the exchange market and trade dilithium for ZEN if you were wanting to make explicit market purchases. The access rate for how much dilithium you wish to mine with your time depends on fleet involvement, buildup over time, and overall gameplay make up for the losses. The game is very time-consuming and invested, you typically can save up for big events, and provide to your fleets. Fleets are important and not very hard to make, and actually; surprisingly- really fun to do with friends and remaining coordinated and invested into the game. I'm still in the same fleet I was in since 2011~ and have contributed spotty, but enough- over the years in my activity. It's pure bliss to see how far you can get, and look back on your history in this game. Once you get gains you keep on gaining, there is no decline if you are smart and resourceful with your EC, dilithium, ZEN, and lobi.
