Lots of people on my friend list want this game and don't have it. Buy this game! Banished is the flat out best building dropping city builder to come out in years. Banished rewards long term planning and careful, strategic growth and change. It punishes mistakes often years later and sometimes too late for them to be corrected.

Buy it. Build it. Plan it. Build it again better.

The graphics are very RPG-Maker-y, and honestly from just looking at the game you might want to give it a pass, but it was in a Humble pack and I'll try any rouge like for under a buck.

It turns out, this game is really fantastic. Games play out quickly, and the point system keeps you unlocking new helpful things even when you have a bad run. The game gives you advise after every run, and its really pretty great and noticing things that got you killed and giving you tips you might not have known to help you do better next time. Full price of US$3.50 is honestly a bargain for what a cool and fun game this is.

No on the fly upgrades, only 3 weapons and 3 sub weapons to pick from, very slow placed with the mech clomping around everywhere adds up to a pretty simple game. On the other hand I got in in a Humble pack so it cost practically nothing.

Its a decent, shallow, arcade mech shooter. Its exactly what you think it is. If you own it its worth a spin some time. If you don't own it just be aware of what you're getting and pay a price that's fitting.

I found out that I owned this game by checking my badges list for games that still had card drops left. I have no clue how I got it and I dont remember ever activating it on Steam, its like someone snuck a horrible game into my library without my consent!

E: the game has been re-named from A New Reckoning to Time Rameside, still crap

I played this in the beta about a week before it wound up on EA, and there was pretty much nothing at all to do in the game. it looked good, ran good, everything worked, but there was nothing pushing you to build, no benefits at all to various materials, while at the same time it took ages to gather enough of something to be useful.

if you want a minecraft-like super bad, I would still pass on this, because it's just too far from having engaging content.

honestly, buy starbound instead.
