I have been playing F1 since 2016, and religiously since 2020. In 2021 was in my first league and every game from there, I have either improved or been at least somewhat drivable. HOWEVER, the dirty air is SO bad, you understeer every corner if following car behind meaning you need to back off to catch, but by then the car ahead would of saved it's entire battery. Also speaking on battery, the Overtake Mode is just TOO powerful. On the same setup, with DRS and hotlap going for a move on a car that has no DRS but is in Overtake Mode, the car ahead stays ahead everytime and even manages to gap. Finally people can plant the floor in 2nd gear not which is fantastic for people. However, from my end on PC it felt like 24 and I couldn't plant anywhere.

Game IS good, it is with the My Team 2.0 and the reverse tracks. And the possibility of a skill issue from me. But the dirty air is so horrendous it is borderline undrivable in traffic. Yes people can say skill issue, yes people can say well lead the race which is great advice! But 19 of the 20 drivers in dirty air wouldn't agree with you.

The game is good, if dirty air gets TWEAKED (Not removed) then it will be a FANTASTIC game.

I have put recommend the game even though there are so many issues.

EDIT 06/05/2023 - The harvester has finally been IMPROVED, not fixed but vastly IMPROVED. 2 days after the early access launch the solo dev, and I mean 1 person developing the game, fixed the harvester and now the game is MUCH more playable! Also a minor thing, when you bring up the stats your kills and deaths should no longer multiply, they seem to be MUCH more accurate. Will keep updating review with every update :)

Pros:
- RTS to FPS and/or TPS
- Replayable with friends or random online games
- Semi decent graphics
- A solo/co-op game mode with friends
- Can choose to play only FPS or RTS or a combo of the both
- Bunkers for human players to capture and help defend

Cons:
- FPS drops after 10 minutes of gameplay
- Some units are incredibly unbalanced
- AI is NOT inteligent with what and when to create units
- Have to spend first 30 minutes collecting resources as the AI are too slow or get stuck

So as I said above, those are the pros and cons. Yes the game is early access and will be sorted out in the future with hope.

Below is a detailed review of my first 3 hours of gameplay:

So I got the game, super hyped since it was announced and I am underwhelmed. I know it is in early access and they need to fix certain issues but the concept and the actual gameplay is fun in certain situations. So the idea you can be a commander, commanding troops and building bases and have a strategy then go into FPS mode and attack the enemy with the units you have built and buildings you have built is really fun to do... In theory... However I spent so much time getting resources which are annoying to get, as the harvesters are a little too slow, that it just made the first 30 minutes boring and grindy, which is fine but when it is EVERY game, it is annoying. Graphics are not too shabby and the game looks decent enough in 4K. There is a solo/co-op mode which is good however it is ALMOST impossible solo. Having bunkers for the human players adds an extra depth of strategy however these are extremely weak against the aliens and even the other human factions, not really worth the time in game for them. I have a high end PC and can play this game in 4K 60fps comfortably but after 10-20 minutes, I had dropped from 60-40 then after 5 or 10 minutes I dropped 40-30 and then it stagnated. I am unsure what caused this issue, drivers are up to date and it is only within this game. The Goliath alien is monstrous, one of those attacking a team with an AI commander WILL lose, the AI commanders have a problem with constructing buildings instead of units when under attack. The rocket truck things for the human side are again OP. I destroyed a base from a hill by my base on the other side of the map. If your rocket truck has line of sight, you can just barrage the enemy base and there is not much the enemy player can do. The AI in this game is just terrible, they will scout around until the enemy base is located, once it is located they will just pump out units 1 at a time and send them straight to the enemy base. I want to see units group together like infantry squads or a couple of tanks together BEFORE attacking a base. I played a couple games online and the people in there are nice enough and those games are great fun. Again, this is because we had a player commander and NOT an AI which was next to useless. Found out, teamkilling is also a thing. A player killed several people constantly and that was not fun for anyone. Team damage should not be a thing is an 'RTS' game. When using the Harvester, there isn't a way to see how much you have in your harvester nor is there a way to see how much you have deposited, just waiting for a new order from the commander.

CONCLUSION:
Should you get this game? Yes and no... Yes the game is great if you have between 4 and 24 friends where you can create a private game and go against each other or have up to 12 against an AI team. That is good fun. HOWEVER if you are looking for a solo experience or only have 1 or 2 friends to play this with, I would wait until an update is released to fix the bugs, the UI, Ai and the balancing. Has great potential, just not quite yet playable.

This game is great fun and challenging in certain situations... Would recommend to players 100% but the game is a bit short, wish there was more...

So I have played this game for roughly 2 hours, and this game is really cool! I remember a game similar as a flash game ages ago, however this is also completely different and exciting! Every game is different, every battle is different and I can honestly say I am enjoying it.

The ONLY issue I have is there isn't a way to increase/decrease map size or add other empire factions for a more hectic game! I would also like to see some changes with each empire, for example, having a "flag" or maybe set up a fleet that is AI controlled, but you can arrange the fleet yourself. So if you want a fleet of nothing but battleships you could, or if you want some strong fast gunships, you can!

But overall would strongly recommend to ANYONE who loves SCI-FI and RTS games.

Ok my thoughts on the FIRST game... I found that the game is very similar to Battlefield as well as some of the background noises like the menu for example. The game unlocks are using an in game currency to get different modules and weapons. Clothes and other module types will be released later and Squads, very battlefield. I am finding the game to be fun but the weapon sway when standing is just a little too much, every engagement I find myself crouching except in CQB.

All in all this game is really good fun, I hope the developers keep with it and make this into a fully fleshed game. It's free also so if you have a low end PC, can't run battlefield 3/4 or Squad, this might be a better game for you and surprisingly servers are almost full, so game is far from dead.

A brilliant tactical and strategy simulation of a modern war and it's conflicts.

This game is a 4/5. The only issue for me is this games DLC's are good in aspects but in others can be disappointing. The German DLC during the cold war I would not recommend but APEX, Malden and a lot of the equipment and vehicle DLC's are impressive and very well done.

Would still recommend, the online play is very good fun and can be competitive. The single player is slightly lack luster along with the story HOWEVER there is massive replayability with each mission and can make the game more fun.

I have both recommended for and against this game and I have to come to this conclusion since post patch #5.

Pros:
- The game is identical to the board game in every way.
- It's fun, easy and simple to understand and learn.
- If you want to play the board game, or want to play the board game knowing that nobody will play with you, then the AI isn't terrible.
- Learning different strategies with other A&A players.
- Multiplayer against other players (2-5) and play a different game everytime!

Cons:
- I said the AI isn't terrible, but it isn't good either.
- Bugs... A fair few bugs... Game keeps crashing have to reload the game.
- India, a strong nation for the UK to build units out of, doesn't do anything in single player. Making the game that bit easier for the AXIS player against the AI.

The game is in EARLY ACCESS and isn't the final product so I can understand the bugs and the AI, this is just the beginning. I among a lot of other people are REALLY hoping for AI difficulty, bugs fixes, edit mode and A&A Global, whether that's a free update or a DLC down the line.

STRONGLY RECOMMEND

I would give it a solid 4/5 the gameplay feels nice, the animations are smooth, the combat is great and the flow is just amazing. A lot of replayabillity and a lot to explore and collect for perfectionists. The one issue is the obvious bugs and the lag spikes and the crash once evey 6 hours. I understand that it has only just been released and i know ubisoft will be working on these bugs REALLY GREAT GAME!!

People are complaining about the updates coming out and that the game is still in alpha. This game is a good game once you get around the bugs. Other games for the PC have took YEARS to make and perfect. Battlefield 4 is a prime example. The netcode issue has been kind of sorted however it still isn't perfect and that game has been out for just over 2 years.

The game is not worth the money it is however it will be once it leaves alpha. For all the haters out there, this was formed because of the mod. The mod already had all the animations and weapons and vehichles in the game. This has been an ongoing task from scratch.

I just hope for more updates soon.
