RE:R2 may not be as good as the first instalment of the spin-off series but it is still an enjoyable survival horror game that merge both traditionnal and modern elements of the franchise, although some aspects are hit-and misses...

POSITIVES
+Barry Burton
+Cooperative elements are implemented in a coherent way (scavenging, puzzle, combat, level design)
+Some alternate paths and variations between Claire/Moira and Barry/Natalia
+Natalia's ability to detect enemies and crawl through holes
+Moira's ability to blind enemies and open barricaded doors
+Some surprising and disgusting enemies
+Simple and effective UI and Inventory system

NEGATIVES
-Some performance issues
-Game tends to drag a bit in chapters 2 & 3
-Enemy ambushes mostly feel artificial and predictable
-Stealth mechanics are poorly implemented
-Lack of enemy variants
-Graphics seem subpar for a home console game

Recommended for those who already completed their favorite games of the franchise and can't wait for the next one!

This self-proclamed "game of the year edition" is possibly one of the worst re-release to appear on Steam if not the worst considering how unredeemable the original game is...

POSITIVES
+ Fullscreen support (if that is a hightlight...)
+ Achievements (if that is a hightlight...)
+ Skippable cutscenes (if that is a hightlight...)

NEGATIVES
- Neutral Birds 2 consists of nothing but a simple Choose Your Own Adventure disguised in Point & Click
- Bonus video is nothing but a behind the scenes slideshow
- Vertical dimension of the so-called HD videos is shrink
- Immature and cringe worthy humor
- Binary choices and arbitraty consequences
- Very few branching paths
- Very short (around 10-15min)

In these Dark Ages of gaming, common features such as fullscreen support, achievements and skippable cutscenes have become selling points for re-release.

RE:R PC port is certainly not a technical achievement like its 3DS counterpart but it is nonetheless a welcome addition to the franchise as it is more thruthful to its horror roots than the previous instalments.

POSITIVES
+Gloomy atmosphere
+Creepy monsters
+Semi-linear level design
+Customizable weapons (upgrades)
+Jill Valentine

NEGATIVES
-Does not take advantage of the PC hardware
-Some cringe worthy characters and humor
-Pacing of the story feels broken due to the unneeded flashbacks
-Some hitbox issues

Not the best in the series but definitely worth buying on sale!

It is fair to say that Kimulator 2 is a slight improvement over Kimulator 1 and Zombitatos. However, this is not enough to make the game worth your investment since it kept every elements that make the previous games so bad!

POSITIVES
1. The new Jesus voice actor
2. Some replay value (different branching paths and endings)
3. Choices and consequences feel less arbitrary

NEGATIVES
1. Cringe-worthy humor
2. Horrendous acting
3. Z-movie production value
4. Very few interactions
5. Only 15 minutes
6. The Youtube channel advertisement at the end

That being said, I appreciate the fact that the devs are open to criticism and willing to improve by reaching out to the Steam and Youtube community. (*Requested a refund!)

While I appreciate the effort of bringing back the old school FPS vibe à la Wolfenstein 3D and Blake Stone, I simply cannot recommend Cyber Utopia due to some technical issues and design flaws.

POSITIVES
1. Original spriteworks
2. Cartoony and cyberpunk vibe
3. Low price

NEGATIVES
1. No fullscreen option
2. 512x384 window
3. Stiff movement mechanics
4. Confusing level design
5. Unbalanced difficulty

Overall, Cyber Utopia adds up to the long list of disappointing sprite based FPS that have been released on Steam in the last 6 months, including Merger 3D, Castle Werewolf 3D, Western FPS and Nano Project.

On June 6th, 2017, Valve shutdowns Greenlight. The day after, Acuze Interactives releases Bunker 58 as a full-game... while it's still pre-alpha!

POSITIVES
1. Does not crash

NEGATIVES
1. ASSET FLIPS
2. Only one tiny map
3. Some framerate issues
4. Very few enemy encounters
5. Scary segments are poorly executed
6. Poorly implemented melee combat
7. Player respawns with no weapon
8. Poorly implemented inventory system
9. Poorly implemented crafting system
10. Some functionality issues with the UI
11. Glitchy item placements
12. Interaction with the environment is nonexistant
13. Nothing else to do after you kill all enemies
14. Excessively overpriced

What the game description on the store page should be: "After playing this game, you will question yourself how much the devs value their reputation, and how far will they go to pursue their dreams."

The human mind is indeed quite fascinating. On one side, it is capable of elevating the human race to its greatest heights. On the other hand, it is capable of bringing the human race to its lowest. Since the dawn of Steam Greenlight, PC gaming has turned into a mass grave of shovelwares, to the point that it is now impossible to keep track of every bad games being released in a year. Here, bear in my mind that I use the word "games" very loosely...

Developped by Displacement Studios and released in 2016, Aztecalypse is an adventure-horror game in first person perspective made with GameGuru. Set on an historical site in Mexico, you play a scientist who must investigate on the disappearance of an excavation team. While this sounds cliché, keep in mind that the real issue with the game is not the story itself but the fact that it has been made with GameGuru...

Born from the unhealthy minds behind FPS Creator, GameGuru is a gamemaking tool that spawned many abysmal titles since its official release in 2016. Like its GameGuru counterparts, Aztecalypse is an amateurish project at best, plagued by bad game design, poor optimization and bugs. The game starts with a 20 seconds theme music featuring harmonica. Then we are greeted with a 3 minutes loading screen. Just enough to give us a bad impression already. But the worst is yet to come...

Aztecalypse features one huge open map made with blocky mountains, stretched textures, glitchy lighting and shadow effects, poor level design, as well as uninspired sound effects. Due to the sheer amount of elements displayed onscreen, the framerates dip below 30fps most of the time. As for the gameplay, Aztecalypse feels more like a walking simulator than an actual adventure-horror game...

Since you play a pacifist scientist, you cannot carry any weapon, except for a knife. You won't need it anyway! The zombies do very little to harm you and can be outrun easily. Not to mention the fact that the models have no lighting and shadow effect, hence why they uncannily look so dark. That being said, your worst enemy is not the poorly implemented AI and horrendous visuals, but the map as it can be really easy to get lost during your journey.

The finale itself is notheworthy as it pins you against a horde of Regenerators from Resident Evil 4, that can be avoided easily by running to the chopper and... THE END... rolling credits...

Considering that Aztecalypse had undergone through an intensive phase of playtesting, it is incomprehensible how it got released in this state. While the video game industry leaves room for newcomers and experimentation, it is certainly not a place for high school project, especially not GameGuru games!

Although far from being a masterpiece, Deadfall Adventures feels like a step forward when compared to The Farm 51's previous "budget" titles such as NecroVision and Painkiller HD.

POSITIVES
- The main menu theme setting up an adventuresque feel
- 3 exotic settings
- A badass hero
- Dual-wielding guns
- Deadly traps and mechanism
- Interesting puzzles
- Tips are given through the notes
- Upgrade system
- Many secret areas and collectables
- Mummies!!!
- Alan Wake-esque combat mechanics

NEGATIVES
- Some cringeworthy dialogues
- Predictable plot
- Transition between gameplay and cutscene is not always coherent
- Some texture popping issues
- Gunplay against human enemies feels more tedious than fun
- Strategy to defeat the undead is too simple and repetitive
- Some hitbox issues
- Player movement is slow
- Grenade throwing arc is inconsistent and unintuitive
- Can carry only 2 weapons

Despite its cheesiness and low production value, Deadfall Adventures has enough personality to make the experience worthwhile.

Since writing a review about this game is already giving it more attention than it deserves, I will be brief.

NEGATIVES
- Redundant menu theme heard in so many GameGuru project
- Painfully long loading time
- Uninspired horror setting
- Poor level design
- Unbalanced difficulty (brainless zombies vs deadly soldiers)
- Unoptimized GameGuru engine
- Redundant use of premade assets
- Length of the game is 5 minutes
- Game always starts with default FOV50
- Had some trouble picking up enemies' weapons
- Some clipping issues with doors' animations
- 1$ price tag (game should be free)

POSITIVES
- So bad that it's worth a good laugh

Overall, The Last Patient simply adds up to the long list of horrendous GameGuru releases (Elves Adventures, Kimulator, Slingshot People, The Face of Hope, Aztecalypse, Bold New World, Lost Base Escape, IVAN vs NAZI ZOMBIES, etc).

Buy at your own risk! You've been warned!

Pain Train 1 was not a good game but at least it provided some mindless entertainment with its non-stop carnage and ridiculous achievement spamming (kinda like a poor man's version of Call of Duty Zombie Mode). Pain Train 2, on the other hand, is just an uneeded sequel that fails to improve on the "foundation" of its predecessor besides keeping the same flaws and adding new ones.

POSITIVES
- New type of enemies
- Weapons crafting system (although very simplistic)
- Upgrade system (although very simplistic)
- Level selection menu featuring different tiers
- At least 2 varieties of boss (and maybe more)
- Achievement spamming is back!

NEGATIVES
- The game is so dark that it is difficult to navigate through the map
- Enemies spawning frequency has been increased, making the game overly difficult
- Repetitive maps and mission objectives
- The generic sci-fi setting is reminiscent of the abysmal Galactic Hitman
- Texture popping issues can be found in some part of the map
- Aside from 2 new weapons, the arsenal is basicaly the same as in the first game
- Weapon skin design is quite horrible
- The modern arsenal does not fit with the sci-fi setting
- The zombie models are the same as in the first game
- The cartoony zombie look does not fit with the sci-fi setting
- No way to save your progression
- No train to be seen (why call the game Pain Train 2 then!?)
- 5-6$ price tag (why crank up the price when the production value is about the same as the first game)

After being able to get past Level 1, 2, 3 and 4, I feel like I played Pain Train 2 long enough to confirm that it is neither worth its full price nor worth its discounted price.
