After reviewing the horrendous Krog Wars, Wyatt Derp, Wyatt Derp 2: Peacekeeper, Starship: Nova Strike, Mini Attack Submarine and Winged Knights: Penetration, I don't know what to say any more for Withering Kingdoms: Arcane War...

Those Space Invaders clones look more like "Spam Invaders" than anything...

Why should I bother writing a different review when Wyatt Derp 2 is nothing but the same game as the first one but with different camera angle. Heck, I might just copy-paste my previous review:

To make it quick, Winged Knights is another example of Digital Homicide laziness at "work".

After a long and tedious 5 minutes of gameplay (don't bother with the 1 hour game time), I tried to figure out what Digital Homicide have been trying to do with Winged Knights. Is the game supposed to be a bad rip-off of Mario Battle and Super Smash Bros. Melee? Where's the character selection screen? Where are the powerups?

Aside from flying your unicorn and empaling your opponents there is not much to do. In fact, the game features only one map and doesn't even have a main menu!

To put it simply, Dungeons of Kragmor (not to be confused with Dungeons of Dredmor from Gaslamp Games) is a huge improvement over Digital Homicide Studios' previous "games".

By taking the best elements from the horrendous Forsaken Uprising, the abysmal Deadly Profits and the appalling Medieval Mercs, the Romine Brothers somehow managed to make a decent online first person dungeon crawler. As a wizard, you roam around in different areas, fight random monsters and grind loot so you can craft better equipment. Despite the fact that the game uses pre-made assets, the environment now looks more cohesive as the cartoony colors and blocky models fit with the casual gameplay. Sounds like a lot of fun, right?

Alas, like any Digital Homicide "games", Dungeons of Kragmor becomes tedious really fast as it relies solely on grindings and simple gameplay mechanics. Not to mention the lack of plot, lore or context to drive the player forward. Also, the user interface would need some works since it doesn't feel that intuitive, especially the crafting and quest menus.

Like I said earlier, Dungeons of Kragmor is a decent game. So why the "Not recommanded" score? Because, I was reviewing the game by Digital Homicide standards. Nonetheless, the game is still 3 times better (+300%) than Slaughtering Grounds, Devils Share, Galactic Hitman and any other of their "games". Let's do the math! 01/10 x 3 = 3/10

To summarise, Dungeons of Kragmor will entertain you for the first hour but not beyond. The game might cost only a loonie but it still feels too generic to compete with quality indie games such as Ziggurat, Delver and Legend of Grimrock. At least, the soundtrack in the main menu is good enough to make the player dream about numerous fantasy worlds.
