Went for the story, stayed for the story - great atmosphere and narrative.

The controls deserve a separate mention as absolute piece of trash: went to play this after "Control", and the non-responsiveness of everything just hits you in the face. And don't get me started on some required platforming parts ("The writer" DLC, I'm looking at you) with those garbage controls.

Got in for metroidvania-style exploration, stayed for the lore and mystery.

Would highly recommend despite my generally bad experience with metroidvanias.
The story is enough to get you going forward through the enemies, the fights seem very packed when going first time through the area, but due to the "single-use mini-arenas" mechanic backtracking to newly opening areas feels light and adventureous rather than cumbersome.
The bosses deserve a separate mention, as they really find that balance between being too hard to beat and easy-peasy, so that you get killed a few times but it really just powers you to go back and get them in the end.

Overall a positive experience of a nice deckbuilder.
Has some replay value for 1 or 2 replays, but unfortunately requires MUCH much more if you want to 100% it - damn you the RNG-based achievements!

A short and fun arcade side scroller with recource management elements and a nice veener of alien zombie conspiracy theory to it. What more can you wish for?

Well, one thing would be not having to play through the DLC 12 times to get the game 100%.

A very stylish minimalistic adventure on an exoplanet exploring alien life.
Would recommend for style and story.

Short, slightly buggy, but a great game to play. Had it when it was originally released, replayed it now, still worthy.

An okayish successor to Sunless Sea.

Pros, but Cons:

• Has 4 times larger world as the Sunless Sea, but has only aound 30% player engagemant in the world. Even on hardest (classic) difficulty you'd be mostly just cruising through empty space.
  
• Has more dynamic combat mechanics, but no bosses to test it against (I remember you, Mt. Nomad and The Tree of Ages).
  
• The storylines start less abrupt and are mostly explained in-game, but a lot of loose ends and the air of mystery is gone.
  
• Good character diversity, but most of them feel like token minorities.
  
• Nice levelling system, but succeeding with the skillcheck is always good for the character. The eldrich Sunless Sea feeling, when you don't know if its better to succeed or fail the skillcheck is gone.

Generally. a much easier and slightly more boring game than Sunless Sea, but a good game in general.

A quick, but very atmospheric puzzle quest.
Cryptic, but easy.

A great challenging FPS if you like to RIP AND TEAR through hordes of demons.

Also has a huge part of platformer hopper non-combat mechanics, which might be off-putting for some.

In my opinion Doom of 2016 was a bit more innovating, less polished and more true to the original Doom series.

The online battlemode is much more challenging in Doom Eternal - be prepared to Git Gud or be shred to bits.
