This is a wonderful classic survival horror game that gave me as much joy to play as when I was playing Signalis, despite the harrowing setting. And it is harrowing.

The game oozes atmosphere and is appropriately bleak for the setting. The art is wonderful, the gameplay is great, and of course you have the inventory management. It's expected! There's a lot of variety in approach, whether you are just looking to take down every enemy or evade them. There's the expected puzzles. All in all, a great time for fans of the genre.

There are multiple endings too, but I wouldn't say there's a good ending. No one comes out of the great war good, And there is a new game plus mode.

Absolutely worth checking out if you're into classic survival horror. I look forward to seeing more from this developer.

This was an impulse buy as it had an interesting description. It is a solo FPS game - a short experience - about two to three hours. A little longer if you decide to go looking for every secret I imagine.

The gunplay is decent, the movement feels great once you get the hang of it. There's some fun sliding and the double jump really helps - some of the big leaps you can make are a lot of fun.

The world and level design is incredibly evocative, with big views of huge concrete structures that make you feel small, and old machines and pipes you question the purpose of. The worldbuilding is really interesting - it tells you just enough but leaves you with more questions. Overall, It all comes together to create a really great experience.

Worth checking out and I look forward to what this dev makes next.

This is a really great experience. The visuals, tone, and writing are really well done, and it blends the administrative game play elements of manning a lighthouse and navigating ships with horror elements and investigation. Your choices also really do make a difference as well.

Well worth picking up if you're looking for a lovecraft inspired horror experience.

A fun survival experience, about 3-4 hours long.

The game play is centred around staying warm, managing resources, and planning your next trip across the facility. You have a lot of things to do if you want to make it out of this abandoned antarctic base alive. The main enemies are your limited resources and the cold which limits how long you can be outside at a time.

I had a good time with this.

Enjoyable, short horror experience, about three hours long.

The gameplay includes exploration, some simple puzzles, and optional hostile NPCs that you have to avoid. The plot was fairly simple but it worked.

I had a good time with this.

This game is fantastic. I love the choice of niche setting (in this case, the Russian Civil War), the atmosphere, and that you play the outsiders in this conflict (although keep in mind this is a fictional portrayal of events). The visual design and music is also great.

The game operates on two levels: The Strategic level where you keep you train going, move from place to place and send out squads to acquire resources/trade/complete objectives. And the tactical level, where you fight individual battles.

The game options and difficulty settings are somewhat granular in this regard, so if you prefer to focus on a certain aspect of the gameplay, you can set it for that. In other words, you can make the tactical fights easy, or the strategic management fairly streamline and effortless. Or just handle both - it is totally up to you. This kind of flexibility is nice.

Additionally, for those who want to just play tactical encounters, the Legion Tales DLC offers a bunch of stand alone battles with various challenges you can play through.

The strategic management is all about managing your train and supplying it. You send out squads to visit various locations along the way in a sort of point crawl. There's a limited trade/economy system you can engage with. I enjoyed strategic aspect quite a lot.

On the tactical level I would describe it as a sort of real-time XCOM (though you can pause at any time and issue orders). It is a skirmish level RTS so you won't ever go into battle with more than ten legionaries (although you might acquire temporary allies in certain missions). All your legionaries have their own skills, traits, and equipment.

All in all, it's a game that really works. It's not perfect and I might have liked a bit more variety in equipment and rolling stock but it is fine as it is.

Definitely worth picking up if a choo choo management simulator with skirmish level RTS combat appeals to you.

This game did live up to a lot of the hype I'd come across for me.

In terms of game play, this is obviously inspired by PS1/PS2 era horror games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Combat works fine enough - there are a lot of options. The puzzles are really fun without being particularly difficult - and they are all quite logical. There's a lot to explore and plenty of bits of lore to uncover. The environments look great.

The game has great atmosphere, and the central story and characters are really interesting although a lot seems to be left up to interpretation. I get a real unreliable narrator vibe so to speak. The world the game crafts is also really interesting.

Some criticisms have been levelled at things like inventory limits but it seems options have been added to address that now. There are also a number of other accessibility options that can be toggled if desired.

Definitely worth picking up if those kinds of things interest you.

I've been looking forward to this for a while and it does not disappoint. An incredible experience that takes all the best parts of the first game and also dives more into narrative and exploration side of the world it creates.

The puzzles are just as fun as previously, with a bunch of new things to keep them fresh. The environments are gorgeous, and the characters are fun and interesting. And the price is a bargain too.

This game has some jank. Combat is kinda rough and takes some getting used to. The UI can be a bit clunky. There are some bugs here and there.

But if you can get past that it is a really good game and I enjoyed it a great deal.

It has a decent story. The voice acting is pretty good. But more importantly the setting is incredibly evocative. The environment and design of the city oozes atmosphere that is perfect for a Lovecraft inspired game and story.

It also had some ideas that I thought were interesting. I enjoyed the archive system for example, and there are a couple of secrets in there too. I feel they could have done more with the underwater segments but you don't really spend a lot of time down there anyway.

But if you're looking for a Lovecraft inspired game and can get past the initial jank, this is well worth picking up.

Short but worth it I feel if you enjoy inventory tetris fun. I would love to see a longer follow-up.
