[Post Void] is an awesome little game. It comes packing lightning-fast gameplay, ecstatic visuals and a kick-ass soundtrack. This game will have you playing over and over again trying to beat your score on the leaderboard, and it’s cheaper than a sandwich. You’d be a fool for not atleast giving this intense little gem a go. Also it’s a pretty easy 100% if that’s what you’re in to.

Borderlands 2 is an outstanding game. I bought it for PS3 the day it came out, and I love it as much today as I did then. It's a shooting, looting, story-driven adventure full of wacky guns and enemies, with all these things amounting to a great deal of fun. The graphics are very pretty, some of Borderlands 2's locations are truly stunning, especially when draped in lens flare; take Flamerock Refuge and Wam Bam Island as examples. Each of the Vault Hunters are fun to play, and carry varied playstyles, so there's something for everyone! Said characters are intersting and very likeable too, my favourite being Maya the Siren for her power and elegence, she melts face.. Borderlands 2 consists of a fantastic cast of NPCs aswell, everyone loves Tiny Tina and Mr. Torgue! Guns, guns, guns; something Borderlands 2 is known for. The game features some gazillion amount of firearms, but Legendaries, Uniques, Pearls and Seraphs are what you're after, these guns are one-of-a-kind weapons that stand out for their rarity and killing ability, most of them come with special quirks like the Unkempt Harold, an explosive Torgue pistol that fires either 7 or 14 shots at once, or the Sandhawk, a DAHL SMG that can come in all elements and fires a spread of projectiles that fly like a bird towards your cowering foes! Loot is a massive aspect of the game, and there's plenty of it. Shields, grenades, class mods, weapons and relics, there's enough to keep even the thoroughest of Vault Hunters busy for a long time. Enemies are varied and plentiful, from the iconic Psychos to Threshers, Bullymongs, Loaders, Skags and Goliaths, the DLCs bring in the likes of Orcs, Wizards, Drifters, Sandworms and Dragons! And of course, there's dozens of bosses too; Pyro Pete, Terramorphous, The Dragons of Destruction and Vermivorous, to name a few, all await you and your Vault Hunter friends; just waiting to be slain! Minibosses are plentiful too, Dukino's Mom, No-beard, Saturn and Assassin Rouf, as examples, most boast their own unqiue drops aswell, so it's worth the grind. The story is great, plot twists and turns ensue, and it's not all sunshine and rainbows, characters share, at moments, hilarious dialogue and you feel involved the entire time. The story is something you'll grind through, A LOT, once you beat the main questline, you can start it again on True Vault Hunter Mode, where tougher enemies and greater loot await, but it's an indentical storyline this time round too, then after that, you can do it again in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, supposedly "where the true Borderlands 2 experience begins" but this playthrough, however, will be nearly exactly the same as all your previous ones. This isn't too much of an issue though, I'd say I've cumulatively finished Borderlands 2 dozens of times, but it never really seems to get old. Once you finish the story for the last time on a character and reach max level 72, that's when the real fun begins. You can farm bosses and quests for the perfect loot, each weapon comes with varying weapon parts, maybe a Torgue grip or a Hyperion sight, or even a Maliwan barrel, hunting and grinding for the best possible variant of a weapon is great fun, and there's a rush of relief and joy when it finally drops! Farming the Legendary Loot Midgets of the Wildlife Preserve is one of my favourite things to do in the game, each of the little guys have a considerable chance to drop and random Legendary or Pearlescent item, and special relics too. If you're new to the game and you're about to start playing; I'd reccomend installing the Unofficial Community Patch (current version 4.0) which fixes countless bugs and issues and does an amazing job at adjusting drop rates for items, skills tweaks and weapon stats, it is a great way to start your experience and breathes new life into the game for veteran players. All of the DLC is fantastic, Pirates Booty, Campaign of Carnaige, Big Game Hunt and Assualt on Dragon Keep all add unique flavours of mayhem to the already amazing base game. You can find the GOTY edition for around £8, or $11, this is an absolute steal for what you get, a definate pick-up. Borderlands 2 is leaps and bounds above the first game, and is superior to the Pre-Sequel too. Overall, Borderlands 2 is arguably one of the most intersting, fun and unique shooters ever, a cell-shaded masterpiece of gunplay and enjoyment. Buy this game if you haven't already.

An overall pretty good pickup for Rocket League. The Dark Knight Tumbler feels so good to drive. The '89 Batmobile is decent. Only problem is, both of the Batmobiles are barely customisable at all, they don't even come with the Batman goal explosion like the '16 Batmobile. The decals are nothing special, and neither is the Flash Speed Force boost. However, the player banners are sick and the Flash wheels look awesome, Wonderwoman wheels are decent too. It's cool being able to rep your favourite DC hero. Overall, it's definately worth the price and it's good to see more cross-overs for one of my favourite games. I look forward to the next batch of DLC!

Whilst appearing generic, Caveblazers is dangerously addictive, this quirky rogue-like platformer will easily keep you playing for hours without noticing, but you'll enjoy every second. It's a very tough game, but the sense of satisfaction when you succeed is unreal. The game is based rather heavily on RNG, be it potions, loot drops or blessings; a good run can carry you far, and a bad one can fall apart very quickly. I take the potions whenever I find them, they can really backfire on you, but, depending on you luck (or bravery), can offer a handy stat-boost or heal. Combat is fast-paced and fun, mostly because enemies are somewhat smart and aggressive, in the best way possible, however sometimes show severe levels of stupidity, for instance, when they get stuck trying to reach you or fall into a pit. Customisation is perfect, just subtle enough to keep you focused on the game rather than looking your best. The environment is destructible and can be painted with the blood/goop of your enemies, which is a nice touch, however it's infuriating when you aren't able to reach the exit due to either a lack of bombs or other manoeuvrability items and are forced to restart the run (this happens very rarely, mind). The bosses follow easily readible patterns, but can wipe the floor with you the first time you encounter them. Even after some practice, some bosses are tougher than others and could all maybe do with a rebalancing. Blessings, as I mentioned earlier, are like perks or abilities and appear once or twice per level, with a couple more thrown in after each boss fight. Some are next-to-useless, but some are god-like, a la, Blessing of the Aerolite. This gives your arrows a 'slight homing effect' but is truly a force to behold. I find myself searching for this blessing on literally every run, it's so satisfyingly powerful. Items (swords, bows, magic weapons etc.) are varied and interesting and adjusting your playstyle to them is very fun. I've 'completed' Caveblazers, but there's still parts of the game I'm yet to discover, a boss or two I haven't fought, areas I've not yet uncovered and enemies I haven't got around to ending, which is suprising considering its modest price tag. The arena DLC is addictively fun too, if you're buying the game, I'd reccomend buying it aswell.

Don't be put off by the 'Yogscast' on the label like I was at first, it's a gem of a game. No pun intended.

DOOM 4 is a fast paced and frantic FPS set in 2149 in which Doom Guy; one of the most badass video game characters ever, blasts his way through hordes upon hordes of the Devil's army. The player goes back and forth from Hell and the planet Mars with their eyes set on closing the demons' portal to our dimension, and kill every last one of 'em in the process. There's a wide array of weaponry that our hero can use to put a stop to the various hell spawns' lives, from the versatile Combat Shotgun, to the returning Big F*cking Gun (9000). Most of the weapons come with alternate modifications to add that extra kick to your arsenal too. The game is littered with collectables like the Doom Guy figures and upgrades for your Praetor suit or weapons, increasing the players' killing power furthermore. When a demon is weakened and staggered, Doom Guy can perform a 'Glory Kill' in which he gruesomely executes them, these are super satisfying and top up your health and ammo in a pinch. To conclude, DOOM is a game of regular length, providing more playtime if you like a good collect 'em up, the story didn't blow me away but the main pull-factor of this piece is the pure unadulterated carnage and annihilatory amusement that comes with playing as an absolute one-man-army tearing up Hell and anything that dare get in his way. It's super cheap now too, highly recommended.

Take the time to learn how to mod Skyrim and you'll die happy.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned, mods or not. Yes, hardcore Role Playing Game fans will call this piece a 'baby's first RPG' as it's more accessible than other role playing titles like Baldur's Gate II or Planescape: Torment. But, the atmostphere, the music and the famed & extensive Elder Scolls lore is superb. If you still haven't played this gem, do. It's a wonderful Scandinavian-inspired adventure filled to the brim with things to do, from becoming a member of the Thieves Guild of Riften to battling ancient dragon-priests. Hell, I don't think anyone's even completed all of the side quests 8 years on. Incredible game.

Psyonix's magnum opus, Rocket League, is one of the most fun games I've had the joy to play. The master of fast-paced, addictive gameplay, the 5 minute matches keep you playing into the early hours of the morning and never failing to keep the action above 60mph! The vertical flexability that the openness of a Rocket League pitch offers is incredible, boasting a Cirque de liberté for you to perform all sorts of zany twists and turns in mid-air, it's remarkable to see glorious goals and superb saves made by some of the insanely talented players. One can better their Rocket League play naturally, by simply enjoying the game, however, the more difficult tricks like; aerials, freestyles, dribbling and perfect positioning take some serious skill and precision and are a sight to see in competitive play. The game's perfectly playable with either a controller or mouse 'n' keyboard, so it's up to you to decide how you play. The customisation is great, fine-tuning your Rocket-Powered Battle-Car is fantastic and the options are near endless, offering plenty of choice. However, there is microtransactions. But, these are implemented in one of the best ways I've seen in any game, they're not intrusive or necessary for victory AT ALL, they're simply cosmetic. The free Rumble gamemode is serious fun and it's nice to see the devs frequently adding new features and stadiums to one of the most fun games of 2015. I don't care too much for either cars or football, but I adore Rocket League. Totally worth its full price and it's a steal on sale, highly recommended.

In Luftrausers, you play as the pilot of an experimental self-healing fighter plane during the second world war, the catch is, you're on the german's side. This piece makes you feel like a total badass as you tear up the sky with your hundreds of different plane combinations, each as unique as the next, and witness your foes drop like flies. But the game's no match for your eagle-like superiority, you say? You can try out the SFMT mode for a true test of ones aeronautical mettle. Luftrausers' addictive, one more try kind of gameplay spells a good handful of genuinely fun hours of playtime. For it's cheap pricetag in a sale, this game will definately have you coming back for more fast-paced action with its quirky interface, adrenaline-fueling soundtrack and glorious pixel graphics.

"Luftrausers" is a made-up word. Sounds German. But it's not."

The Forest isn't your run-of-the-mill early access survival game, not at all. The Forest outshines all of it's competitors, which is ironically amusing considering how dark this gem is. Enjoying this game with a friend or four is some of the most fun I've had playing recent games with pals, attemping to survive the cold, desperate nights with the constant intimidating growls and disheartening squeals of the mutant cannibal audiences gathering to watch your hopeless pantomime fall to pieces is thrilling, wild and funny as hell. When playing alone, that's when you experience the true fear this game does so well to conjure up, and you get a, to be expected, more polished singleplayer experience, so don't feel put-off if you don't have another soul to play with, I'd still highly recommend picking it up. The game is constantly being updated (as of 26/06/2016), with plently of exciting features being added and the very welcome bug fixes that make you forget you're playing an 'uncompleted' game. The enemies themselves, the cannibal hordes and hulking messes of mutated limbs all provide a fun and responsive combat experience, the 'things' you'll face in The Forest are truly disturbing, the half naked, starving, blood-covered cannibal women and the giant, baby-like belly-flopping mutants are nicely varied and each encounter leaves the adrenaline rushing and hands sweating, especially at the beginning of the game when you have nothing to defend your sorry self with but a cloth-covered rock and a walkietalkie. The Forest is a fairly well optimised, gritty and immersive true 'survival' horror experience that is well worth it's asking price, and in a sale? Bonus. Get it, for both a great singleplayer and a hilarious multiplayer experience.

Nidhogg is a simplistic fencing game, the winner being the one who comes out on top in a contest of deadly tug-of-war, with a welcoming art style, dynamic soundtrack, a polite attention to detail and incredibly pleasing vistas, this game warms you inside, as you physically and mentally try to out-do your opponent and advance screens. The price isn't totally agreeable, £10.99 ($15) is a tad steep in my opinion as there isn't too much to do alone. However, this game shines in its co-op fun factor. Attemping to line up your friend(s) on your sword like a pixelated shish kebab is very amusing and you'll find yourselves having a blast whenever you're together and Nidhogg's involved. If you've got a buddy to have a 'stab' at this game with then do. Other than that, it's most probably worth getting for yourself in a sale, and only in a sale.
