Playdead’s INSIDE is a wonderfully dark and brutish platformer with satisfying puzzles, a chilling score and atmosphere you can cut with a knife.

Minishoot Adventures is such a polished and fun experience. Combining the thrill of a bullet hell twin-stick shooter and the exploration and wonder of a metroidvania, this game delivers on all fronts. The progression is satisfying as you empower your little ship, allowing you to take on bigger and badder foes with new abilities and crazier attack patterns. The graphics and lighting are stunning too, and it runs perfectly on the steam deck. It's a joy to sweep up all this game's achievements if that's what you're in to. Highly recommended!

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is a super fun time. You play as Rex "Power" Colt, and unimaginable bad-ass, as you take back control of an unnamed island from the control of evil Colonel Sloan. Face off against the game's namesake, Blood Dragons, massive reptilian beasts who shoot lasers out of their eyes, as well as, an array of cybernetic animals all wanting to rip your throat out. Less fleshed out than Far Cry 3, this game is just pure thrills, explosions and coolness. This is a perfect game to pick up,blast some henchmen with lasers and kick back. The collectables are much more enjoyable to collect in this one because of the protagonists super-speed and immunity to fall damage.

FC Blood Dragon is an entertaining romp through an 80's-pilled show of bravado that you can 100% in an afternoon. Highly recommended.

Shakedown: Hawaii is a vibrant, chaotic old-school GTA clone where you slowly take control over a Hawaiian island until you rule it with an iron fist. Crime pays in this title as you stomp out rival gangs and cops, blow sh*t up and make tonnes of money. Challenging in parts, this is an engaging and thrilling crime-romp worth your attention. It works wonderfully on the Steam Deck, too.

Tinkerlands is a welcome addition to the sandbox-crafting genre. Obviously drawing inspiration from the likes of Terraria and Necesse, this game does enough to differentiate itself from its competition. There's a satisfying gameplay loop of grinding equipment and gear, vanquishing a boss and moving onto the next, slaying bigger and scarier foes. The graphics are super charming, the pixel art and lighting are very easy on the eye. I'm excited for the future of this game as it continues it's journey in early access and onwards.

Plantera is a lovely little idler with soothing music, satisfying progression and a dirt cheap price tag, definitely recommended if you’re a fan of the genre.

A beautiful little tale about rekindling relationships, not taking things for granted and fixing bits 'n bobs. The puzzles are satisfying and the music is soothing. It's definitely worth an hour of your time.

Balatro is an incredible game. It came out of nowhere and took the roguelike genre by storm. Endlessly repayable, difficult, but fair, and a hypnotic soundtrack that melts away hours.

Such a cute little game.. The web swinging is really fun and it's a joy to sweep up all the collectables.

This game deserves to have done so much better than it did, but a less than perfect release date that saw the game competing with CoD: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, led to the game underperforming sales-wise. With that said, Titanfall 2 is exhilarating. The graphics are beautiful, it runs amazingly and the gunplay is fluid as hell, couple that with the super satisfying movement (wall running, sliding, double jump etc.) and you’ve got a stellar package. The story isn’t your run-of-the-mill go here; shoot that with some fetch quests for good measure, it’s far from it. While short, it’s most definitely sweet. I never knew I could get so emotionally attached to a giant mech. There’s regular boss fights with unique enemy titans that are always a blast, then there’s the collectibles, a wonderfully varied array of weaponry (for both you and your Titan) and the original score is fantastic. This game flew under the radar upon release but is now 100% worthy of your attention. I scored this gem at 75% off (about £8.50) and it was worth every penny. I think i’m gunna play through the campaign on master to really test my skills now. Titanfall 2 is one of the standout shooters in recent years primarily for its awesome campaign but the multiplayer is fun too. Give it a go and I guarantee you won’t regret it.
