Can't think of a more polished "early access" game.

A good, but not an amazing game, with some nice twists, and lots of room for improvement.

Beautiful game. Graphics, voice acting, cutscenes are great, story is great dealing with sincere topics and one gets to appreaciate how much an amazing soundtrack can add to a game.

The active parry/evade system felt stupid in the first hour of gameplay, as I failed all the time but then it grew on me. This time the "git gud" meme was spot on and while I may not got good I got "fine" toward the end of the game. It's hard to play a similar JRPG without this component now.

The deluxe edition is not worth it for the offered content, as you get bombarded with skins in the game. But as the game is imho that good - no remorse.

Got like ~10 crashes after a few hours of gameplay at the end of the game, sometimes annoying on a very long boss fight but often a reminder to take a break:)

Refunded, but everyone says it's a good game, so thumbs up.

Fun game, worth the money. Best survival for the casual player, with the best no grind base building.
Also, the first early access update is amazing on the amount of content and the contents itself, that caters to the wishes of the player base. Rarely seen in early access...

First off, the game itself is great. It has everything one wished for who loved the first game.

Concerning the complaints and actual negativ points.

1. Microtransactions are a non-issue. They are not required at all. They make no sense to even exist.

2. The option not to have a restart option is stupid. There are workarounds. Mentioned by the devs, it will be fixed.

3. There seems to be a not so obvious and unexpected calamity in the game, that may ruin your playthrough, even after 30+ hours of gameplay. Keyword: Dragonplague Dragons Dogma is known for its sometimes-harsh consequences, but this seems to be over the top and feels more like some kind of anti-cheat/hack.

4. My biggest complaint right now is the performance. Even with a system beefier then the recommend specs sub 30fps with low to medium settings in certain regions is possible. This is a showstopper.

5. The endgame lacks compared to the first one.

Recommend if you have a great PC. For myself I hope for a big performance upgrade. If they don't fix the performance I cannot recommend the game.

Viable necromancer minion build from level 3? Check. This game might have a multitude of small issues, but more importantly this game is fun ... way more fun than Diablo 4.

Just here to leave a positive review. Challenging even on lower difficulties. No handholding, no waypoints. Great remake.

Cured my arachnophobia. Highly recommended.

Early Access Review:

Overpowered skills, mighty items, quick progression equals great fun for the casual gamer. Only one playable area is the only serious limitation in EA right now.
