The true sequel to Transformed we were all waiting for decades now and easily the best, most replayble and most addictive kart racer of this generation and on Steam by far. 70 bucks well spend, espacially compared to most games that are priced on that price point and ESPACIALLY compared to a certain plumber's mid kart racer franchise's new entry and all previous entries combined.

To start on with, the gameplay. Its easily the best in the franchise and even if the tricks were simplified the driving has never felt better and more smoother before. It easily surpases the previous entries. Now for the new gummick being the Crossworlds and believe me, they are a huge game changer and add a lot of veriety to the races, but most importantly improves the pacing of the races drastically.

The gadgets themselves are a cool addition and offer nice depth when it comes to the gameplay. There's some meta gadget builds that are annoying to go through, they are nothing gamebreaking, at least for me.

The track selection? Easily the best in the series too. We finally have Apotos back including tons of new tracks that are all fun to go through. Some tracks were severely downgraded from their TSR/Transformed counterparts but they are a blast to go through.

Character selection? Also perfect. So many classic Sega reps including for the first time ever Hatsune Miku and many more coming with free Updates which i can't wait for. Not only that, it has many cool crossovers to spice up the selection like SpongeBob, Minecraft Steve, Mega Man etc.

And those interactions the characters share before the races start? Cheff kiss, perfect. They add more personality to an already peak game. From notable examples being Omega and Shadow being an absolute savage to everyone (Except Cream) to Vector being desperate to get on another date with Vanilla so he's being super nice to Cream, there's so many fun and unique interactions that are such a treat, espacially to hardcore Sonic fans like me.

Don't even get me started on customisation because it's also easily the best in the series. You can make a veriety of cool car/hoverboard builds and even add some cool decals to them as well as customise the horn. Auras are also here brand new feature and are really cool to look at even if they are really grindy to get.

Online wise, thanks to the wonders of cross-play and the constant updates the game is more alive than all the previous games combined. Sega really cared to FINALLY deliver a solid online network and it shows. Yeah, it's not perfect and it could use a rework because i can't count all the times i got disconnected either alone or playing with a group of friends but it's still solid.

But if you don't really play racers for the Online, there's tons of SP content like the Race Park that unlock tons of new car/hoverboard parts to enjoy as well as Dodopa Tickets which is the currency of the game. There's the Team Racing gamemodes returning from TSR and the rest are all the usual racing modes you expect from kart racer including Grand Prix or Custom Races. I wish all those unique minigames from TSR also made a return but for what it is, the single player offerings are solid.

And unlike many, i enjoy Legends races even with all the issues like rubberburding, item balance etc. because god forbid a Kart racer is unbalanced like the older times and not a super competitive sweat fest.

Overall, Sega cooked once again with the best entry in the Sonic racing series and while it has issues like the item balance and network issues this is still the best Kart racer of the generation and nothing will ever come close.
