No comments, make up your own mind about this. For context, it was posted during or in close proximity to the No King Protest (peaceful from what I've read/heard). Around 7 000 000 people exercising, peacefuly, their right to speech and peaceful assembly (or at least those would be the rights here in Canada... and I figure our neighbor's are not so alien to those). Again, beside context... no comments.

However, this is (sadly) old news. However, since then I sadly think things got more adversorial (link below)... and that is coming from a Trial Lawyer pov. Can we all take a chill pill and look at what binds us, beside what is dividing us?

There is a new movie coming out about Oppenheimer that tells at least part of the story. Him, and a few other, essentialy invented fire power 10e6 (or much more).

From a very brief research, wood combustion is around 1e6 joules to a kg so 1e3 to a g. Result may vary depending on the type of wood.

From an equaly brief research, dividing enriched uranium yield around 72.6e9 joules for a gram. Mass for mass, it is 72 600 000 times greater... per grams. I sort of understand Oppenheimer's reaction on seeing (part of) the results.

But like fire, it's a tool that can be harnessed for good. Now mind you, it is still a finite source of energy because it's akin to burning which brings a material from a higher state of energy to a lower state of energy and release the rest in the process.

Should we be wary of bombs made of increasingly highly concentrated amount of energy... definitely. Should we shy from understanding the reaction and using it to harness more efficient ''burning''... defenitely not .
