I’m still not even close to finishing it but it’s already so good that I can’t recommend it enough to anyone following the Trails series. A strong culmination of the arc on par with Daybreak I and a clear step up from Daybreak II. To truly appreciate it you should experience the series from the very beginning starting with Trails in the Sky. Years of worldbuilding across Zemuria finally pay off here making many long-running threads finally start to come together. As someone who loves long epic RPG journeys and sprawling book series this is exactly the kind of experience I look for.

An amazing fairy tale from 2014 that made me fall in love with the 'Legend of' series back then, now fully voiced and beautifully reimagined. I find it quite difficult to progress with the story - instead I keep gazing around familiar places.

At last a Firefly inspired game has received a DLC that lets you acquire your very own Firefly. It's essentially SOS2 but runs natively and performs better. Been waiting for this for 5 years still better late than never.

Let's put it this way: what was good in this game — the voice acting, art, animations and humor I enjoyed immensely. It's a lovely point&click but the game is first very short and ends illogically seemingly without reason as if the author of the story just felt it was time to do so - like when you got immersed in a good prelude only to have someone abruptly cut you off. Secondly, the plot ending they picked for this game spoils the overall impression. It feels rushed, incomplete and as if the devs were in a hurry to release.

Let's be honest, it's not a puzzle or highly complicated logic game where you come for gameplay in point & clicks like this one you come for a good plot. And this game hardly delivers in that regard.

Considering the good and that there is no neutral review option I will leave a thumbs up for an indie studio. If you get this game you may even find some enjoyment in it as I did but Blyts can do a lot better than this in my opinion.

An absolute treat for fans of haunted mansion games Last half of darkness offers a refreshing twist on the classic horror adventure genre. It’s from the same developer who released the original 35 years ago. I was familiar with it and expected a typical point and click adventure however the freedom to wander, admire the architecture, be haunted by spirits, shoot at them on the fly feels wonderfully fresh. It is spooky and atmospheric exuding an unmistakable old-school vibe. Nobody holds your hand you're free to explore the mansion at your own pace and piece together its mysteries. The game is very forgiving allowing you to progress despite any missteps.

Although it took me longer to complete as I was slow thinking at times it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I'd eagerly jump at the chance to revisit any upcoming titles from this developer for more adventures.

At last, one good successor to the 4x space strategy that truly hits the mark after so many disappointments. The game is proving to be a solid follow-up to the original - familiar but stronger. It still feels like classic Sins at its core but there’s a noticeable overhaul to features like the tech tree, fleet mechanics, ship diversity, and planet and ship items. The Solar Forge - a map editor available on Github though not too well documented at the moment also adds tons of possibilities for creating custom scenarios. Backed by mods it can turn into a completely different game.

The visuals have received a major upgrade. You might catch yourself admiring how your ships glimmer under starlight. I loved the addition of orbits - as routes change over time it brings a fresh layer of strategy making planning more dynamic and engaging. Performance has also seen significant improvements with the game using resources much more efficiently.

Overall, it’s not trying to revolutionize the formula but that’s exactly the point. If you enjoyed Rebellion this feels like the natural next step keeping the spirit of the original intact while refining the experience in all the right ways.

It's like Persona went on a medieval vacation and forgot to pack any chill. 10/10 would get dragged into another metaphysical crisis again.

After a couple of quick updates and some feedback from the developers I feel like my overall impression of the game has improved. The UI issues like the lack of details on the cards, tiny fonts, and other annoyances are things the developers have promised to address. They've also mentioned considering bringing back more house rules. Personally, I’d love to see a classic art pack because let’s be honest the new art style just doesn’t do it for me.

Steam workshop support would be a game-changer. It would let the game grow beyond just the official DLCs. I get that Steam isn’t the sole source of revenue for the game but adding workshop support even as a long-term goal would be incredible.

The game is still finding its footing and since I’ve spent countless hours on the 4th edition I’m willing to cut this one some slack and give a good score as a bit of a leap of faith. Talisman is a game I love and so do my friends. I’ve got all the Pegasus Spiele expansions, a couple of custom boards, unofficial add-ons and the digital version on every platform. So yeah I’m rooting hard for this to live up to its legacy.

Right now there isn’t much content yet but knowing that the DLCs from the 4th edition carry over is a big plus. In that sense the price for the base game might be justified.

For now I’ll keep watching for updates and crossing my fingers that this will eventually outshine the 4th edition.

When I was a kid to play something like Intravenous we'd draw levels on paper, cut out little soldier figures and move them around with our fingers. Honestly, he's a great developer and I recommend supporting him.
