Unremarkable but competent action game set in the WH40k setting. Played this to eventually get to the sequel.

Entertaining couple hours for the single-player campaign with basic ranged & melee combat. A lot of it felt like a corridor shooter combined with (somewhat stiff) hack & slash that's very much of that generation of gaming. Some sections are just empty hallways with vacant rooms to get you from A to B.

Story wasn't very compelling, but the characters were done well enough. Optional pick-ups have more lore.
There's a good sense of grimdark going on, but remains pretty bland throughout even with its set pieces.

You don't play this for deeply complex gameplay, you play this to smash and blast through orks.
At the time this was your best option to do so, and it's still a fun time.

Did a 'full' clean and got the cash. This is, and will be, the only cleaning sim game in the library.
Just go clean something in real life.
  • Incredibly tedious with finicky physics ruining progress
  • Deliberately hard to parse visuals
  • Spawning required cleaning items can trigger more trash

    Tedium ad nauseam

Great puzzle platformer with speedrunning mechanics. Complete the levels within a certain time limit to unlock more!
Gets incredibly difficult but well worth the challenge with tight controls and fun level design. Reminiscent of SMB, Celeste, VVVVVV, N+ and other precision platformers.

Minor performance issues on certain stages and couldn't get D-pad on a controller to work which was the only thing preventing me from trying to 100% this.

Do try this one out!

True 7th gen slop.

Broken PC port of an already jank game. Crashes, bugs, audio crackling.
Checkpoints on some tracks being entirely wrong. Awful track layouts. Barely functioning AI.
Despite all this, there is some dumb point-finger-and-laugh fun to be had in this mess.

The zombie mode unlocks a vehicle so overpowered it carried the rest of the playtime. It trivializes some of the painful parts with flawless handling on both track and terrain. Getting this first allowed me to race a bit and witness the horrible AI fumble about on the tracks. The minigame modes are bland and were done better in previous installments.

This trash is undeserving of the Flatout name, and it basically killed the franchise.
Stay away unless you want the kusoge.

Giving up at the hyper levels. Both my brain and hands really did not enjoy the time I spent in this game.
Using keyboard, the controls felt both sluggish and too fast at the same time and just had a very imprecise feel to them.
Visually quite garish and unpleasant to stare at for extended periods of time with the random (?) rotation eventually getting on my nerves.

For a quick burst of arcade experience this game is ..fine. For a "Hard" game this is just hope-you-get-good-patterns and it doesn't necessarily feels like it wants to reward skill or time spent learning. Seeing people sinking dozens of hours in this, I'd rather put that into an actual arcade or rhythm game.

A fun excursion into the 1980's universe of RoboCop!

Lovingly crafted first-person power fantasy game that puts you in the metallic boots of robot officer Alex Murphy. Do police work, pulp the baddies, uphold the law.

The game's look & feel pay a lot of respect to the IP. Visuals and theming are spot on, graphics look great for a smaller scale project. The RPG-lite mechanics and interactions are more than what I expected and it even has the 80's RoboCop cheese. There is an endearing type of jank that has to be mentioned, however it was in no way game-breaking (most of the time it was just amusing, personally speaking).

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys RoboCop or story-driven action games that have a little extra on the side.
