Well, takes point & click games' twisted logic to a whole new level...

Conflicted about this one. I'd recommend it if you like a nice blend of adventuring and farming, but definitely not recommend if you want pure adventure/action, or a pure farming chill experience.

Also fails at combining contradictory generic life sim (like the Sims) characteristics and a narrative-driven game... but it's good at the story part.

A quick list:
+ huge world
+ difficult but rewarding combat
+ nice aesthetics overall
+ story
+ some improvements on the farming sim/adventure genre
- almost zero player character customisation, no clothing options?
- the male protagonist looks like a madao (wink wink, Gintama)
- ugly NPCs, both inside and outside, yes, they are interesting enough, yet still not unique on an individual level, they are more like stereotypes than actual different beings
- devs made using axe and pickaxe easy, but collecting liquids hard and clumsy? where is the logic in that
- poor selection of mounts
- too much focus on underdeveloped later generations / your descendants, not the first generation or your first character
- an underwhelming life sim, family side
- managing more advanced stores (like the blacksmith) sucks
- tutorials are less helpful than they appear to be, and convoluted lists of unsorted traits/statuses/etc add to the confusion
- not to mention no proper description of some items, like the rabbit corndoll, wth

Verdict: around 8+/10 objectively.

Nice, could use a lot more work, however. Like mini-games that suck or the law side of it is a snoozefest that couldn't (couldn't, as in the past tense) even be skipped or ignored. For instance, citizen lawsuits can now be enabled or disabled, but not fully customised or better explained?

The freedom side of it could use more freedom as well... like being able to off some of the more annoying NPCs or block them from harassing you on the phone.

Would say 8-/10 right now.

9+/10. More of an adventure/hack'n'slashy crafting game, not that open of a world survival craft game, far too linear for that.

Extremely weak when it comes to the NPC department. Yes, the oddballs are interesting, but there is barely any of them to populate your own castle/base of operations...

Epic. 11/10. Haven't seen this useful NPCs in a long while, or perhaps never...

Okayz? But appears to be much harder than Hotline Miami.

If only the regular/combat animations could be sped up... and fights and wandering more diverse and interesting. (7-/10. Barely recommended.)

A nice enough but still an underwhelming competitor to Nuclear Throne...
