Fallen Aces is a FPS game, where you play as a detective in a noir styled story and city, where you get attacked in your own home related to your recent case, and chaos takes over the city. You need to figure out what is going on.

The comic like visuals is extremely detailed and amazing to see. Just look at the city, items, props or to the characters, it's really well made.
Gameplay wise is also superb. Basically you can play a level and complete objectives, however you can basically explore the level however you like, deal with enemies anyway you want and take items which you feel taking it. Levels have secrets and optional side content or even multiple ways clearing it. You can use many things against your enemies, like different props and items, all kinds of melee weapons from a bottle to a baseball bat or even a gun's stock... speaking of which, you can use gun's like pistols, tranqualizer, machine guns or harpoon guns even, or even take on your enemies with your fists and legs and beat them up. The game does not limit you anyway, although some of these ways are more effective then others, but that's up to the player to figure it out. There are many things which is noteable, but in short: the game offers freedom to the player in their own pace to enjoy the game, which has enough game mechanics to tinker it and it's such a blast.
It's a bit hard to talk about the story, because this game is not finished yet. There is only 1 chapter available, so more will come (hopefully soon enough), but so far the story is rather interesting and looking towards how it continues.
Sound design is also well made, perfectly balancing the noir style with the comic effects. Soundtrack also fitting for the noir era.

Probably my only complaint about this game is about being unfinished. It came out one and half year ago and the future chapter is still in the making, hopefully soon enough we could have a more definitive experience with this game.

I don't think you need to look for any other game, if you want to play an outstanding FPS game. Definitely get it, 15€ might seems a lot considering only 1 chapter is available, but I think in the future it wouldn't seem that big of a deal.

One of my favourite games of all time, by a mile.

Smile for Me is a puzzle story game, where you wake up in a strange are where the mysterious Doctor Habit can cure you and the other habitats to smile again and decide to explore and better know the other people.

The game's visuals are really unique, mixing all kinds of style and colors. Some of the items, characters or textures could seem out of place, but basically this bag of mix visuals is what really fits to this game. The other highlight of the game is the story. It's somewhat short, but it's great to fully explore. Characters are also unique and most of them are really likable. Soundtrack and sound design is also alright. The mood of the game is fun, but it also has some sense of creepiness, but doesn't quite make this game like a horror game, it's pretty cool. Controls are simple. Gameplay seems straightforward at first: you meet a character who tells about it's problems and you can help fixing it. You can collect items, talk other characters and explore the area for possible clues. Helping different characters can give you more clues or other items which can help you further.

Probably the only annoying thing I can bring up about this game is the inventory, where you need to scroll a lot to find the item you want, but you can get used to this.

Honestly, I can definitely recommend to give a try with this game, if you looking for some casual fun, but don't mind some problem solving and bit of creepy feeling in the game. 13€ is a bit much for this one, but 6-7€ is alright.

Loud: My Road to Fame is a rhythm game where play as a younger girl who finds fame as a rockstar and also learn about growing up.

The gameplay is straight forward and easy at first glance, as there are 3-3 lanes on the left and right where beats appears and you need to react to it, according to the song you playing. There are long notes and notes where you need to mash, and you can also whammy long notes. Seems easy enough, but later songs gets more difficult and complex, and also there are multiple difficulty levels, so the game can offer some challange too. Visuals are modest and colorful. Songs are mainly rock and alternative rock tracks, most of them without any lyrics, which might sound a bit blend for some but most of them are okay.

LOUD in general is a fine indie game, however I felt the game is missing some things. For example, the story is cute and has an interesting message, but to me it wasn't really that big of deal. It does effect the visuals of the chapters and even the character's clothing and guitar, but that's about it honestly for me. Also, throughout the songs and at the end of the song it starts to get annoying to me to hear the character keep saying things.
Then, the hit detection makes the game harsh and difficult, even though you can adjust the tempo.
And finally the game feels short and don't have enough content. Even though the game has 21 songs it just feels really short. This is also thanks to the story and the overall gameplay.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of this game, it's still an alright one to play if you don't have anything else to play. It's not bad, but not that good either in my opinion. Get it only if you are fine with the short playtime and have nothing else to play, other than that you should just skip it. Try to get it around 2-3€ max.

PEAK is a physics based adventure game, where you alone or with others suffer a plane crash and wake up on a mysterious island. In order to get away from the island you need to climb to the peak which you can reach by going through the island's different regions, surviving the nature and the climb.

The graphics looks cartoonish, but fits perfectly with the game's style. It's colorful and sometimes detailed enough, but only for those things which needs the extra details. Also, the characters and the customization is alright, you can change 6-7 different things on your character, additionally you can unlock some new things which you can acquire to your own avatar.
Controls may seem difficult at first, but after some time the player easily can get into it.
Soundtrack is okay, usually there are not many music tracks to listen to as the game's ambient takes the leading role, however any other sound effects and especially the in game voice chat is really well done. Especially the voice chat, which can change the voice of the other players depending on their location, if they are moving or what place they talk at, like if they are in a cave there is reverb in the voice and so on, which is pretty cool and can make some fun moments.

Finally, one of the best thing in this game is the gameplay. Even though this is just a climbing game there are many game mechanics, items, regions and a few secrets which the player going to explore and figuring these things out, and that is so much fun in PEAK. I could details what things I like in here, but I really do believe it's best to explore this game without "spoiling" some of these things.
Even figuring out how to play game: there is no tutorial for PEAK, however the very first region, which is the Shore, is constructed in such way that the player can check and try the fundamentals which gives a directionless tutorial mode basically, and with this you can enjoy the game in your own pace and won't be slowed down by the game itself. It can be considered as a trial-error type of gameplay, but I believe this is how PEAK needs to be experienced. Once you figure these out then you start thinking about how to optimize your climbing, which is not that straightforward as you may think and to me that's also pretty cool thing to do. Not even mentioning when you can play with your friends, which make the game such a chaotic fun in some cases, or it can feel good when the group works together and reach the top of the island. You can also play it alone, which also works, but in the long term this game works best with others.
Also, every day the island is going changing, so even if you played through the game once you can play a new map with new regions and generations again, which can give additional challenges. Even if you see a region which you already overcome, the regions have different types in itself and also the generations can make different map basically, so there is more than enough replay value in this game. Also also, you can unlock additional difficulty levels which can give extra challenges in future run.
I also want to mention the in-game accolades, which are basically the achievements for PEAK. In my reviews I really don't highlight achievements for a game, because I like to play it in my own pace and do what things in the game which I feel like to do, but in PEAK these accolades unlock new character customization items if you complete them, but also they give incentives to try out new things in a run, which is also interesting to explore.

There are many positives things about PEAK, but there are a few negative things too. There were a couple of times when I got disconnected from an online match, due to timeout... which is weird, because I did not lose internet connection and this happened randomly, and to others in my lobby. You can invite players mid run, but this can be annoying to get into, as it comes up out of nowhere.
One thing which is good to know, is PEAK is a 4 player game. If you have more people to play with, the vanilla game don't have the option to play with more sadly, however there is a mod which can delete this limitation and play with more people.
Also, occasionally there are some weird generations which can make the game more broken, like when two objects is generated in each other or when certain items are in one location. So far I did not encounter anything game breaking, and also as far as I know the devs checks the maps beforehand, but this is something which is good to keep in mind.
And I hope there will be more regions to explore or new things to find in existing regions, because even though the regions have different generation types in itself, after a couple of hours they might start to feel flat for some people.

When I first tried this game I thought it will be an over hyped something, but I did not expected to be this fun to play and even more fun to get into it more. I would definitely recommend to get this game, especially if you can get someone else along with you to play. 7.5€ is honestly a decent price for this game too.

Danganronpa 2, similarly to the previous game, is a visual novel detective puzzle game, where 16 students go to a remote island for a school trip, however this trip turns deadly really fast, and together they have to figure out their situation and solve murder mysteries.

In general the mood and atmosphere of the game is on point with the previous one: the story is really good and lengthy with some fun twists all around. Almost every character in the game is great and likeable. The soundtrack has some of the songs from the previous, but they don't feel old at all, but also there are some new tracks which adds well to the game. The structure of the gameplay hasn't changed much, but some of the minigames in the story mode are different, and most of them are pretty fun or have quality of life improvements, which were lacking from the last game. The game has some additional game modes to play and collectibles to get or unlock, which most of them are okay I guess, with some exceptions.

However there are a couple of things which I did not like or couldn't understand the design choice behind it.
One pretty annoying thing was the "Access to the path is denied" error, which at first does not affect the game as you can still play when you get this at launch, but once you exit from the game your current session won't get saved because of it. This error only came up once for me (I believe it's somewhat rare) which lost me 4-5 hours of progress and I had to replay basically one and half chapters. I have no idea how it got triggered, but this is something you should also watch out for... if you get this, leave the game immediately and restart the game, or if it doesn't get fixed you should restart your PC or check your antivirus exception settings.
I was also not a big fan of the other game modes. Magical Miracle Girl Monomi is basically a beat'em up where you have to kill a certain number of enemies in each wave and do this on 6 different levels and 3 different difficulty settings. It gets pretty boring pretty fast as you can do the same strategy on every level. Even though you can collect items to make your character stronger, it's not making it any better... Although, if you want to do all achievements in this game, you are going to hate this game mode, because collecting all items here is really mind numbing and a silly thing to do.
Island mode is basically School mode from the last game and it literally plays the same. Although you can learn a bit more about the characters, it's not really fun to do this management gamemode kind thing.
Also, one of the things which I did not like is the new Hangman's Gambit minigame in the Class Trials. I understand that the minigame from the first game needed some change to make it more interesting and possibly difficult, but I did not enjoy that one at all in this game, especially in the later stages of it.
Then, in some of the class trials some parts I had no idea what the game expect me to do to continue, which statement or evidence should I present, even though I understand what will be the point of that in the trial, but I just felt the game wants me to put attention on those certain things in a completely different way than what I expected... but maybe that's my own problem, and I should have paid more attention, but it was annoying in certain times.
Also, there is one puzzle part in the whole game, which is surprisingly difficult to understand and complete without much help, at least for me. It is cool to see something new and also the player has the ability to ask for help, but honestly if I wouldn't have my friend giving me some hints, I would have been stuck there for a good while for sure.

Although it seems I had a more negative experience with Danganronpa 2, the main course of the game, the story is pretty great and overall I think this is a deserved and fun sequel in the series. If you have played the first game, you will definitely enjoy this one too. I can definitely recommend giving this game a try, if you enjoyed the first game, but try to get it for 15€ or less.

This was the first game I played in the Saints Row 2 series, I had no prior knowledge about the prequel or the series at all.

Saints Row 2 is an open world TPS, in which your character wake up from a coma in a prison and once it escapes it wants to reclaim the respect of it's gang, but have to take over the city which changed since then.

I wasn't sure if I understand the game's story since I haven't played the first game, and luckily you can live with out. Although you won't understand some of the character relationships or previous moments from the game, but these doesn't hurt the story at all. Speaking of which, the story was surprisingly okay. Even though it wasn't anything deep, the storylines about each gang in the game and the changing relationships with our crew and other characters is enjoyable to watch through. It has some fun moments, but the game is more on the serious side of story telling with some of the dark or dramatic moments which happens in the game.
Another thing which surprised me is the soundtrack, which is just superb. The different radio stations has all kinds of genre of music to listen to, you can find your favorite for sure.

There are some really good things in Saints Row 2's gameplay: one of them is the progression. The game is mission based, you need to complete set of missions to advance in the story or capturing enemy gang strongholds, however you will need respect to even start these missions. In order to get respect you need to side missions / activities, which at first I thought it will be annoying, but there are a number of things you could do, from paramedic, to doing hitman jobs or races, or even spraying sewerage on the street and protecting celebs and many more. These side activities also giving perks which can help you throughout the game.
Another thing which was really cool to see is the customization character and gang customization, which makes this game more unique. Also, these things can also increase your style points, which can give respect multipliers.

The graphics for a 2009 game is pretty alright, although you can see some missing or blurry textures, and even in 2025 it's still looks fairly okay.

However the game is not perfect and there are some flaws, but the most serious issue with the game is the inconsistency on modern hardware. This game is near unplayable on a modern systems as you can get countless crashes, visual bugs, soft locks, mouse sensitivity issues and many more. Some of the reviews are negative because of these, which can be understandable since the vanilla game contains no fixes, but these does not reflect anything about the game.
However, I found a Steam guide made by RaveN, which includes links for the game's GOG executable, Juiced mod and for DXVK patches, which made the game more stable and minimize the crashes and all the bugs, and thanks to this I was able to play the game and eliminated lot of my issues with the game.
Because of this, my list of negative things may seem different than the usual problems people bringing up.

One thing I was not a big fan of is the difficulty. I played through the game on normal, but it felt relatively easy on the most parts. There were a couple of missions which was bit tricky, but once you figure out which weapons are good and you have a decent aim, you can easily steam roll the game. Even some of the boss fights felt lackluster and generic, but atleast these fights didn't felt over the top or too complex.
Also, there were some missions which felt "half-baked" and overdrawn, making it boring, especially some of the "rail shooter" segments, where one of your crew member drives a vehicle and you have to take down the enemies.
Speaking of the missions: a few times some of the targets were not load into the game, which soft locks the missions, until I game end myself and reload from a checkpoint. Also just a few times I was spawned inside of a building and I had to either reload my save or game end myself to get out from there.
The driving physics in this game is pretty weird, it feels like most cars has no weight and they handle just like that, and a lot of times I got stuck on kerbs or anything similar. Related to this: around the end of the game I started to get bored of the constant driving between missions. I really don't mind going to locations, but once you explored the city and got the things you wanted, this felt like a nuisance. Also, driving in general also feels lackluster thanks to the low sense of speed and the "rail-like" feeling of driving.
The control scheme is something which you need to get used to, and a lot of times the game showed XBOX buttons instead of keyboard keys, which was annoying to see.

Saints Row 2 as it is a really surprising game for me, as I did not expect I will enjoy this much and find it so unique. Although this was achieved with a help of some fixes and patches, so I haven't played the original version, as that's really inconsistent, but I wanted to give a chance for this game. If you have the time and want to play a cool open world GTA like game with it's own identity, I recommend you to play Saints Row 2, but definitely check out the needed fixes to enjoy this game. 10€ sounds fair, but if you wait for a sale you can get this game pretty cheap, so I recommend to do that.

To keep it in short: for those who expect the old HoMM gameplay: it is not exactly that but it's close enough and enjoyable in my opinion who were into HoMM 3 and 5. There many new things to uncover which takes time, but I think old players could enjoy this. The low poly visuals were something I had to get used to, but even that it's fine.
For new players the game might seems difficult or hard to play, but once you get the hang of it and give it some time, it can be enjoyable.

Although it would be good to see all of the hotkeys in the game, finally to see underground maps and not just only overworld, bit more option to manage your army and split your stacks, not just make one stacks and halve them and the game better communicate the objective for certain maps, but maybe that's my problem. However some of the more serious issues is the focus system, because it's not that useful in most battles and you are really dependent on wood and stones most of the time, and later on the new resource type, and if you can't find these you won't be able to do anything noteable.

Still, I'm looking forward to the game but hopefully somethings will get address when the game comes out.

Inertial Drift is a racing game, where you drift with all kinds of cars on colorful and (on some) challenging tracks.

One of the highlights of the game is the graphics, as it's colorful and vibrant. It doesn't try to have realistic graphics, but it aims for its own animated style. It's also really cool to see the anime like intro cutscenes, even though there are not many of them in the game.
Another thing which really surprised me is the story mode, because you can play with 4 different characters and all of their routes are different from each other. The story mode has 5 chapters, each chapter has 3 races to do and every chapter focuses on one track, which might sound short, but each track in the line gets more complex and the races get more difficult too. Sure, the story of the game is nothing too deep, but it's pretty good to get familiar with the universe of the game and to get used to the game at all.

Now, one of the make or break elements of Inertial Drift is the controls. Basically you can steer your car very slightly, but you need to "additionally" steer for drifting, which effectively makes you corner, as the base steering is very low. Also, you need to play with the steering inputs, gas/brake inputs in order to get through some corners, and additionally all of the cars in the game have a different driving style, which can twist up this driving scheme. Not gonna lie, I was not a fan of the understeer for every car when I base steering them and I really hated this driving scheme at first. It's challenging, but after some time it can be satisfying when you start winning with this, but I really can't blame those who give negative reviews because of the controls of the game, this is something which is up to the player if they can like it or not.

Gameplay wise Inertial Drift seems to have many game modes and menus to do some racing, but sadly in reality these game modes are barely different from each other. Another thing which surprised me about the game, is that there is no contact model for the other drivers in the races, meaning you can basically drive through them, like if they are ghosts. Because of this many of the race types are quite similar and even though these are good for getting used to the game and for the track, because you can learn from their lines, but later the races gets repetitive and all about getting a faster time then the ghost, which is something I'm not a big fan of.
The additional menus for races do offer some more events to do which can unlock some cars, and there is the GP mode for doing 5 events for every car of the game, but that's about it. There is the arcade mode for posting up times to the leaderboard which you can do I guess, but for the multiplayer I was not able to find any race when I played the game.

Sadly these are not the only things where Inertial Drift lacks, because the base soundtrack is not good for a racing game. They are decent scores, but definitely not fit for the speed or for the driving in the races, they are just not interesting. Then, there is the character interactions mid race, which is a cool addition, but the problem is that there is no voice acting in the game, you can only read their lines which is not that advisable when you are driving as well.

I also want to briefly talk about the Twilight Rivals DLC, which adds 4 cars, 4 tracks and additional story mode.
The story mode is decent and short, although it was weird for me at first, because you have to beat 4 members of a rival team in 5 races, but you are doing those races with different characters from the main story and with their cars. It's cool because you can try out different cars, but you have to get used to them. However, the highlight of the DLC is the additional eurobeat soundtrack which is pretty good and you can opt for your game to be played in any of the races. This should have been the original soundtrack of the game, but better late than never.

Inertial Drift is a pretty decent racing game if you can get used to the drifting and accept the race types, however if I want to be honest I feel like this game wasted the potential to be something much better, as it relies on the easier gameplay implementations. Still, it's a decent game and I can recommend giving it a try, but make sure to try the game out first and if you like it, buy it for 6€ or less. Also, try to get the DLC at least for 4€ or less.

Thank you to the publisher for giving me the opportunity to play Desktop Heroes!

Usually I'm not into idle games, but I decided to give it a try after I checked the store page. The visuals and soundtrack are surprisingly well made and distinguished as well. The soundtrack doesn't feel repetitive, even though I listened to it for a while. Controls are straightforward, as you can manage everything with your mouse but you can also use hotkeys for certain menus and game elements. Gameplay seems straightforward as well: let your hero destroy all enemies in front of it, meanwhile you occasionally equip and sell items, upgrade your character's skill and unlock new levels. However the game can get difficult early and you need to strategize when you want to use your skills, how you want to build your character to get the resources you need and when to use your healing or other potions. You can also unlock more characters and levels, which takes some time as you need to get the resources, but it doesn't feel like grinding at all.

However I could nitpick about a couple of things, like the lack of story in the game. Although some items and even the maps have some trace of a universe building in this game, story is definitely not a major part of the game, but usually it's not a strong point for any idle game. Also, the game is being advertised as a software, which you can run while you do your job or do something else, however in my opinion the game can also be addictive as you can micromanage a lot in the game which can hook you up, but maybe that's my fault.

To be honest, Desktop Heroes is a really surprising title which I did not expect to enjoy this much, which is a decent idle game to play. I can definitely recommend giving it a try, even for the full price.

Dap is a horror adventure game, where you play as a small creature called Dap and you have to save the forest where you and the other Daps live and fight against the corruption.

The strong point of Dap is the visuals. It's unique, colorful and great for the atmosphere, it adds to the horror factor aswell. Speaking of which: Dap's horror is more based on the atmosphere although some parts have a few sudden scares due to the enemy ambushes, which was alright. The story is a hit or miss thing for each player, because there is not much going on, but if you see more into it, it could be interesting to follow or emotional even for some. Gameplay wise there are collectibles to find which the players can lookout for, and the game elements gets introduced progressively. It gets tactical later and reacting to sudden things as best as possible.

However my biggest issue with Dap is the lack variety in the gameplay. There is challenge along the playthrough, but there is not enough different game element or gameplay in general until the end. Also, in few chapters I got lost and didn't know where to go. Even though the game is not that long, these things can make the experience less enjoyable.

If you don't mind the limited gameplay and you are all in to explore an interesting world, give a try with Dap, otherwise you should skip it. I can recommend to get it, but buy it for 5€ or less.
