Crash Time Undercover is racing action game, where you play as two undercover police officer who want to take on some criminal bosses of the underworld in different missions and races.

One thing to know beforehand, the game has been published in 2013 (I think), but only got recently available on Steam.

It's a usual thing to have a decent driving physics in the games from Synetic, and Crash Time Undercover is not different than that. It's more to the simcade style of driving, it's pretty enjoyable. Controls are straightforward, there is a controller support which works fine with the game. Soundtrack and the sound design is not bad, however the soundtrack start to get boring more into the game. Graphics is not bad, but not that outstanding either. Difficulty is ramping up properly throughout the campaign.

However, for me the campaign started to get repetitive, some missions are pretty much the same and quite long aswell, and if you make a mistake you could get a checkpoint long before where you failed your mission. Also, as I said before the difficulty ramps up properly, but there are some missions which I couldn't figure out how to do it without cheesing it with the respawn system. Since I mentioned cheesing, once you figure out the weakness of the AI you can finish some missions much easier.

Multiplayer is pretty much dead, no one is playing it however it could be enjoyable for a few hours at most if there is anyone at all.

It's a shame that the missions and the story wasn't that diverse throughout the game, but it was still pretty enjoyable. Nothing outstanding, but if you know what to expect from a budget game, you won't get disappointed. I can recommend for those who enjoys the games from Synetic and interested in these type of games, but get it on sale, for around 5€.

I got this game as a gift from a friend through Steam, thank you so much!

Back is a FMV game, where you play as a real estate agent and check a villa out, however a bunch of strange things happening and you have to survive in the house. The length of the game is similar to a normal movie length, you can play it through in an hour or more.

The production value of the scenes are pretty okay in my opinion, and also the story idea is interesting. Gameplay is pretty easy to follow, you only need to use your mouse. Scenes looks really great quality wise.

One of my main problem with the game however is the English subtitles, as a lot of things are "mirror translated" and sounds weird, really hard to figure out what is going on for a non Chinese speakers. With this, figuring out the story right at the spot was really difficult for me. Some of the sound effects are overused and already heard from other games, making the experiences less serious for me, and some of the scares and death animations are goofy.

The game where it wanted to be successful is not worked out in my opinion, but still I had an okay time and some laugh throughout. I really hope the studio can learn from the production of this game and give it another try to make such game in the future, because they could become better. I can recommend giving it a try if you interested playing FMV games or want to see something different, but get it on sale, somewhere around 4 - 5 €.

Willage is a FMV visual novel game, where you have to deal with difficulties to harvest grapes in a small village.

One thing I liked is the environment of the game, the rural Eastern European countryside is rarely shown in games as it is and it was refreshing to see something closer to reality. The game also easy to play with as you only need to use 3 buttons to change prompts and confirm your decision. Some of the music in the soundtrack is also fitting to the game.

But the other aspects are yet to be desired. The some aspects of the story is weird, and I can understand this game is a start of a larger storytelling, but I just had a different expectations for the game. Also, throughout the game there are a few parts where you can lose your progress and if you couldn't figure out how to save, these can get you off guard. Finally, the game is really short. If you can figure it out, you can get over it in 30 minutes - 1 hour, and considering the gameplay and the overall story, this is just not enough. The whole idea could have just utilized better in my opinion.

I assume this game was just a prologue of what to come, but after finishing it left me with a mixed opinions. I can't recommend this game to get, maybe if you can buy it for less than 1 €.

Late Shift is a FMV game, where you making choices which changes the movie you watching.

This is one of the few FMV game which you can take a little bit more serious then the other ones. It doesn't play differently, but the acting, the story and how this game got produced is worth it.

One of my main issue with it is the lack of skipping scenes which I already saw. The game has 7 different endings and all kinds of alternatives, however in order to get through them you would need to rewatch the whole thing, which just tedious.

For a quick fun it's still more than good enough, especially if you interested in FMV games. I can definietly recommend to give it a try, but it doesn't worth 14.8€, it's more like 7 - 6€.

Poker Night 2 is a poker game where you play against well known video game characters.
Compared to the previous installment, it's an upgrade on most fronts. I think the character lineup is also better than the previous game, the poker table items can make such a good theme for the game and there are a bunch of interactions between the characters as well. Gameplay wise there is Omaha Hold'em to play without throwing cards, which is a nice addition. Soundtrack and graphics work nicely.

One of my main concerns with the game is the bounty challenges, which are randomized challenges the player has to complete before getting a chance to get a bounty item from one of the characters, and some of these challenges can be finicky to complete and luck based. Also, the game crashed a few times on me.

Other than that, I think it's a pretty likeable poker game, nothing more. I can recommend getting this one, but don't pay more than 8€ for this.

GTA 3 - The Definitive Edition is a remastered of GTA 3, which has a graphical overhaul and slight gameplay changes which is similar to the modern GTA titles. This review will focus more on the Definitive Edition, rather than the game itself.

My favorite GTA game is GTA 3, so I was looking forward to this definitive edition and at first it was quite bad, back in 2023. After an hour of play I refused to continue with this one and deleted from my PC.

However, since then the Definitive edition games got updates at the end of 2024 and I was interested to see if it's any good. So, first of all the overall graphics is pretty good, the restart system after a failed mission is also nice to have, same for the auto save, and the gun play with added aiming mechanics is also fit to the game. The achievements are also nice addition for some players.

But still, some of the graphic effects are hard to see, for example the fire effects which is really annoying. The graphics feels unoptimized to me. The physics is also different, which effect the driving and I am not a big fan of it. This edition completely screwed the Dodo controls, on keyboard and mouse it's really difficult to fly. Some of the character models are look like they are coming from a G.I. Joe collection, they pretty much look like plastic. Some of the missions got easier compared to the original game, which I can understand it makes the game more playable but I think these are unnecessary changes.

Other than these the game plays as the old school GTA 3, which already had some problems which are still exist in this edition, like the poor AI, really aggressive cops, the stiff gun play and some of the crazy missions this game has.

If I want to be honest, the updates makes this edition more playable, but I don't think it's superior to the original GTA 3. However, since this is the only version of the game available to buy and it's actually not that bad like it was on launch, I would give a chance to this one if you really interested and when the whole collection is on sale, because getting the original on Steam or on any other platform just cost too much or just difficult to get. I would rather give a mixed option to this review, because the edition have some problems, but it's still okay to play and don't hate it that much like back in 2023.

In Watch Dogs you play as Aiden Pearce who is a hacker in the first smart city which is completely connected to one network, in Chicago. After a failed hacking job, Aiden lose his niece in a car accident which suppose to be targeted Aiden and now he wants to take revenge and learn who put the hit on him.

The premise of the game is really unique, as you get an open world map of Chicago and able to hack basically everything in it, from traffic lights, bridges to citizens. You can still do the usual city open-world type of things as well. The graphics is pretty good for it's time, the controls seems unusual at first but after some time you can get use to it. There are lot of side content for the game, which can easily make the play time twice as long. The overall story premise is good, has it's own twists and most of the characters are well written. Multiplayer is still active and playable till this day. Soundtrack is pretty alright.

One thing which really bothered me is the driving in this game, it's hard to get used to and annoying to control the vehicle. One other problem in the single player is the protagonist character. You get characters in the story who are decently written, but Aiden is a weird one to root for throughout in the story, especially if you take account what he does throughout the game. It does not feel right to like this guy. Finally, some of the side content has too many collectibles which does not make them unique, or the side content just simply not fun to play, for example the ctOS breaches, they are inconsistent.

But there are issues with the multiplayer aswell. There is a racing and decryption mode in the multiplayer and these are pretty much dead, has barely any players and the driving physics is still not good at this game. The modes where you can be invaded or invade others are active, however the game has no anti cheat system so you could find some cheaters in the game. They are somewhat uncommon tho, but it is annoying when you have to deal with them and you are aware that you have limited ways against them. The invading games modes are fun by the way, however they are unusual PVP game modes, so you have to understand how to play them, otherwise you will quickly lose interest and the game does not help you to understand how to play these as best as possibly can. Also, if you want to enjoy the single player it can be annoying to be invaded by others in your own session, but luckily you can opt to go offline in the settings if that bothers you.

To be honest, I did not expect Watch Dogs to be this great, because even though it has it's own problems and the multiplayer is basically a niche thing which only some can enjoy, the base game is pretty good. I can definitely recommend to pick this one when it's on sale.

I got this game as a gift... not sure what wrong I did to that person, but thanks... I guess.

This is a game which can make a grown man cry...

you basically have to get through the street. That's the game, with some very basic rule set and easy to understand controls.

However after one playthrough you would most likely be done with it, there is no sane person would playing this anymore.

If you want to have anxiety when you walking on the street next time or you want to make you suffer, buy this game on sale, but I would not recommend it any other way. Not fun.

This is an isometric shooter, where you have to complete missions in Chernobyl and in it's neighboring areas when the power plant exploded, making sure that the radiation is contained, however the area filled with mutants, radiation and military which you have to fight against.

The game has a cool atmosphere, there are not many soundtrack in the game but I find them fitting to this whole setting. It's a simple game in general, which is not long enough to be boring for a single player through. Graphics is surprisingly good, even though it's nothing complex. You can collect coins to buy upgrades for your character, and also there are 4 different characters to play with and they have different abilities and special weapons.

Although the AI in the game is not the smartest which you can exploit it. Also, if you realize which character has the best abilities and weapons, you can get through the game even faster. There is not much differences between missions and they could get boring midway and the final mission does not feel too rewarding.

If your expectations low enough and you don't mind the short playtime, you can find this game enjoyable in my opinion. Nothing too crazy, but it's nice short game. I can recommend to get this one, but not for 10€, 4-3€ seems reasonable.

Battlefied Hardline is a FPS game, where you can play as a cop or criminal in the multiplayer and take out each other on civilian areas. In the single player you play as a cop named Nick Mendoza in the Miami drug department to take on criminals, but a case just gets more messy for Nick and turns his life upside down.

The game looks decent for 2015, the soundtrack is surprisingly good in my opinion. The campaign feels lengthy enough, even though you can get it through in like 5 - 6 hours, depending on your difficulty level and playstyle. Also, there are some collectibles in the levels, which are not felt forced for me. The campaign has a style like if you would watch a crime series on a streaming service, which I find it unique and because of this the over the top actions and the tons of twists somewhat makes sense. Multiplayer is playable and has some interesting elements, like a non combat role the Hacker, which a player can take on in a match and support it's team. Also, the ability to collect money to buy additional weapons, which you get from matches is an interesting way to implement it, but I liked it.

Now, the game is not without an issue. Starting with the campaign, at the beginning it was interesting to follow, but later things just started to happen to make more over the top action and in the end the story gets messy. The ending was really questionable about why exactly all have happened to Nick or what was the point of the villain doing all of this. The AI in the campaign is quite dumb, they have tunnel vision aswell which makes this whole thing worse. Capturing criminals in the single player was interesting to do at first, but due to lack of AI it start to get boring very quickly. A lot of times they also get bugged or you would see some graphical glitch which just making this game less serious. The multiplayer is quite small, only like 30-is people playing it and it's sometimes a luck to find a server with some decent player number, but getting into the multiplayer is difficult, as mostly high level player are here who can play new players easily, not even mentioning some of the servers have their own rule set, which breaking them can make you banned. Also, this browser client is confusing and slow to use.

I'm really conflicted with this game, as the campaign started out really good and had some nice traits, but from halfway point it goes downhill. The multiplayer is definitely playable, but the lack of player base and lack of understanding how certain roles work or to dodge bans from the servers makes it less enjoyable, plus to deal with the high level players. If you don't mind the over the top action in the single player I can recommend getting this one, but otherwise just skip it. Don't get this game for more than 6€.
