This game became a pleasant challenge in a world of searching and hammering.
Find them all, do it fast and smash them hard - thinking is optional, reflexes are not.

I wanted a cute kawaii addition to my library, not a full-time job reporting bugs on Discord.
Stuck achievements, stuck tutorial.

Amicia, as is mentioned in the story about a thousand times. A young noble main heroine is robbed by war of her family home, and as if that weren’t enough, her brother is struck by the suffering of an unknown illness. Alongside the Inquisition and ever-present armored soldiers, the story begins on an emotional note, appealing to humanity and loss through the death of the family dog Lion — who had served this noble house for many years as a skilled hunting companion, but whose disobedience during a wild boar hunt leads to the discovery of a nest of brutally bloodthirsty rats with red tails and the uncompromising plague that gradually devastates the land.

Their sharp fangs can pierce even the strongest armor, and the only defense against them is light. And this is where the gameplay begins to feel strained, since light repels the rodents but attracts human NPC enemies — a key gameplay mechanic.
Adding to the discomfort is the limited, non-open world and the complete lack of freedom, bordering on claustrophobia, all in the name of stealth. This is mainly because about 80% of the time you have a frightened, hysterical little brother literally stuck to you, occasionally suffering from headaches, with tendencies to run off or get stuck in textures — meaning even the smallest speedrun attempt or good result can be ruined, because the rats are more than happy to feast in even the tiniest patch of darkness.

What I’m trying to say, though, is that the story itself is gripping in concept: guiding two underdeveloped children through a morbid, dark world full of repulsive sides, bloodshed, and horrors, where instead of playing hide-and-seek we must learn how to craft projectiles for combat and stealth, how to radically use workbenches, alchemical skills, how to speed up the sling, aim with it, and significantly increase our pocket capacity. It’s important to remember that the collected materials are also used to craft ammunition, so correct timing and resource management are essential. In short: save, think, plan.
I definitely have to praise the visual presentation, which does not fade in today’s competition and will be fondly remembered by many players. From an artistic perspective, it offers nature and environments ranging from abandoned, initially colorful forest groves, villages, homesteads, streams, meadows, churches, and cathedrals, to completely plague-infested, grotesque, nightmarish areas. Each level has its own charm within the narrative, whether exterior or interior, and it certainly captures attention.

I was curious how the game would feel to me after having played it on console at release and then returning to it years later on PC.

I started to perceive the narrow campaign corridors, with their strictly laid-out obstacles and predetermined solutions, as overly rigid, and I became dissatisfied. The game caused me numerous problems, punished me with its shortcomings, and it was deeply humiliating to play this engine on PC. Horrendous stone-throw aiming at enemies, inconsistencies with Hugo’s rat-carrying abilities near the end, NPCs behaving without any thought. Frequent stuttering cutscenes, and I even managed to get lost in one of the castles — and without reloading from a checkpoint, I realized I would never have made it through those rooms.

On top of that, in almost every chapter I managed to die in bizarre alternative ways due to bugs and texture issues. In some places the sound even dropped out completely, and I had to read the dialogue purely from the characters’ lips. I have to say that the game itself isn’t predisposed to difficult controls; the puzzles and paths to objectives are very primitive. But combined with bugs and inconsistencies, I suffered through a thorny journey to nearly 100% achievement completion. Even those were sluggish — each one only popped after restarting the game.
It was pain. A migraine. Choleric players, hands off — phlegmatics only, preferably with a controller and please, wait for a huge sales!

In 2026, a lot of people make resolutions, ban themselves from things, start losing weight. I decided to go a different way — I supported my inner senses and, for the first time, opened a game in my library with a porn-tinged vibe full of juicy, revealed maidens. And I have to say, it wasn’t a mistake. What was I doing all this time? Because seeing immersive cards with a story, a campaign, perfectly shaped breasts, and tight brazilian panties? I have to admit, it’s not as spicy as I imagined, and that’s exactly why, as a beginner in the world of porn gems on Steam, this one worked for me — it’s not absolutely perverted. Well...not all the time.

I feel pleasantly harmonized. Every day, thanks to its ladders and main rewards, the game pushes me to come back, visit it, and fight. And not just for boobs! SmutStone has a great story-driven charm, excellent achievements, desires, and secrets.
The campaign delivers beautiful retro nude art and a funny story. It feels like a ’90s porn comic, back when penis still had sideburns and mustache. I’m having a blast and laughing!

One point out of ten I’d deduct because it’s a 50:50 pay-to-win–type core system, but even those — including me — who don’t spend money can still enjoy themselves and grind their way to the goal.

I’d definitely welcome better access to earning red gems, and I’d happily endure a longer road to the finish!
Highly recommended.

Brief in form, yet vast in destiny.
A humble game in size, yet a saga in experience — its gameplay stretches long and gleaming, carved with care. Though repetition weaves its rhythm, it never sinks into boredom; instead, it sharpens focus like a ritual.
I longed only for more pixel-born beasts to face, for the art itself was a feast — my eyes never left the table hungry.

This day, I conclude my 48th trial of unpredictable dice and ever-shifting dungeons. I stand now at the summit of all the game can become.
The journey is complete.
Thank you.

Let me speak honestly, from a different shore of thought.
To the developers, and to every soul behind hidden object worlds —
never stop creating these sacred rituals of searching.
Never silence the breathtaking, thematic music that carries us deeper than time itself.

Those stolen hours of immersion and discovery strengthen the unseen architecture of my mind, building quiet reserves of focus, memory, and meaning for a future yet unnamed.
Through full concentration, through the art of noticing, we gently push the shadows of Alzheimer’s further away, not with fear, but with beauty, curiosity and play.

You may not realize how essential you are.
One day, I will own every world you have made and perhaps, in doing so, I will live forever. Simply I will buy all your miracles!

The Vikings stole my breath once again.

Arrrrrrr! The pixel-art backgrounds of this grand adventure kept me mesmerized for countless hours, aye they did. Through the whole tale, ye sail alongside a pink-haired lass, guided by sharp and well-placed story cutscenes that, once finished, toss ye right back onto the deck of adventure. I took a liking to the size of the characters, the clever way each pixel dances to life, and those bold, sun-soaked colors fit for any pirate’s map. More than once I caught meself just starin’, lost in the variety of the art. By the end, I swear me eyes weren’t round no more — they’d turned square as pixels.

The care of the developers be clear as calm seas: lively character interactions, sharp-tongued jokes, the call of the pirate’s life, tasks and deeds, unlockin’ new bits of chatter, pokin’ around every corner, and givin’ things a good think — none of it be wasted effort. Across all these strange and wondrous lands, every detail adds treasure beyond measure.

And by Davy Jones, the voice work and narration deserve a hearty cheer. The characters ring true, and the narrator spins the yarn like a seasoned sea dog, holdin’ the whole tale together.

Now hoist the sails for the finest side game of the lot — Kraken Fodder! A dice-and-card brawl where ye blast yer enemy’s cards to splinters with cannonballs and devilish tricks. This here game be vital to the voyage, so steel yer nerves and win it on the first broadside if ye want to sail onward. A roaring pirate ballad of a game, stuffed to the brim with booty that’s both bountiful and within reach!
Ay ay, me hearties 🗺️ 10/10! ☠️
