Hi Sansy,

I do not recommend changing the settings below if you are an admin for a larger-population private server (or one open to the general public) because doing so will result in a lot of materials (base elements and containers) scattered around the map and remaining for a long time after players leave and do not return. This can have impact on server performance over time. It would probably be ok on a smaller server (password protected or whitelisted) that is limited to a few friends, etc.

You can set your chests to 100 days in bases and trader zones by changing the settings below:

scum.MaintainItemsExpirationTime=2400:00:00
This is the maximum setting (100 days, the above is in hours:minutes:seconds).

scum.MaximumTimeForChestsInForbiddenZones=2400:00:00
This is the maximum setting (100 days, the above is in hours:minutes:seconds).

This will also slow the decay of base elements. Again, use caution on open multiplayer servers.

I do not believe the above option is what you seek, since it still asks you to install BattleEye.

What I do to launch SCUM without even installing BattleEye is: Right-click on SCUM in your library and select 'Manage' -> 'Browse local files'. This opens a Windows Explorer and you will see an executable called "SCUM_Launcher.exe". Do NOT open this but open the directory "SCUM", then "Binaries" and finally "Win64". There you will see an application "SCUM.exe". Open that and you will start SCUM directly without even a request to install BattleEye.

You can save a shortcut to this SCUM.exe on your desktop and use that in the future.
