For Stardew Valley it isn't the whole game that is great it's every indivdual thing that is part of the game is what is so great. The characters, the mining and combat, the fishing, and especially the farming. This game is actually quite strategic in the way that you plan out what you will do each day depending on the weather or other factors. It isn't just a playing game it is also a thinking game and it doesn't get enough love for how good it is.
