Early Access Review
When I first looked at the Steam page, I wanted to play this game so badly because it looked like Roboquest and Gunfire Reborn.

Then i bought it and started playing...
I hate to say it, but it's ready for early access. In fact, it's barely enough for a demo. Every, EVERY system/script in this game is broken. There are lots of bugs, especially in the core mechanics.

Let me break down the bugs i encountered:

● Weapon swap reloads both weapons. This is bad because it makes reloading upgrades useless.

● Challenges are buggy. The enemy counter is broken. It says 15, but there are 14 enemies. (Before you say, yes i know there are hidden mushroom enemies. I killed them, but you can't reach 15.) There's a melee kill challenge but sometimes it gets bugged, and when you kill with a melee attack, it doesn't count as a melee kill.

● Some upgrades don't work every time. For example, the "kills give 30% of ammo back" upgrade sometimes doesn't give ammo when you kill an enemy. I didn't check/test every upgrade but i'm sure there are other buggy upgrades.

These are the important bugs that i constantly encountered. There are many more bugs and the developers haven't fixed them in about 1-2 months. These bugs aren't that hard to fix bugs but there are more problems with other things. I wish the bugs were the main problem...

Gameplay and other problems:

● Sounds: OMG THOSE ARE THE WORST SOUND SETTINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! THERE ISN'T ANY MASTER VOLUME SLIDER AND ALSO WHERE THE DUCK IS THE MUSIC SLIDER? USING THE AMBIENT SLIDER FOR MUSIC? THAT'S SOME ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. IM SO ANGRY ABOUT THIS BECAUSE SOUND SLIDERS ARE THE EASIEST FEATURE YOU CAN MAKE IN THE UNITY. YOU CAN'T MESS UP THESE SETTINGS LIKE THAT. I CAN'T EVEN DUCKIN PLAY OR ENJOY THE GAME BECAUSE OF GARBAGE SOUND SETTINGS. THE GUN SHOOT SFX AND MUSIC ARE SO LOUD. LIKE, HOW DID YOU MESS THIS UP SO BADLY? THESE SOUND SETTINGS ARE UNACCEPTABLE, EVEN FOR A JAM GAME...

● Guns: First of all, they have pretty good designs, not gonna lie i like them. Besides that, the main problem wasn't the gun models. The main problem is complicated. Gun shoot sounds are fine, i guess, but the feeling of shooting something is not. The impact of the bullets is not good. The weapon reloading animations and sounds are so bad. I can't even tell when the reloading is done.
The balance of the weapons is poor. I'm not going to talk about that but the weapons feels the same. I think the variety of weapon feels are bad. I'm not talking about shooting types of weapons that shoot differently, like flamethrowers or rocket, etc. I'm talking about normal bullet-shooting weapons. They all feel the same; the only difference between them is their stats but the feelings are same.
Last but not least the weapon chest is broken. The weapon chest gives you three weapon options. Normally, you can select one and the other two options disappear. But in this game, you can freely choose all three of them... This is a bad decision because you can get good weapons on every floor, so there's no risk of not getting a good weapon.

● Movement: It feels clunky. There's a dash, a double jump and a glide, but the movement doesn't feel good. It needs some polish but i guess it's fine for an early access game. Also, the movement speed is slow for our character. In the full release of the game, there will be two playable characters. Our character in the early access version has a movement speed up modifier but it's still slow though. I think the movement speed needs to be faster for a character like that.

● Level up and Shop: I didn't even understand what's the point of them. They will give you the same things but the shop is random, leveling up gives you the option to choose. These two need some balance tweaks or i think the shop needs to be different from leveling up and have a purpose. For example, you could buy power-ups for your room, health or something that upgrades your weapon. Idk but you guys need to make them more varied. Right now, they feel the same thing with some differences.

● Skills: I think character skills should be changeable in lobby. For example, you could unlock new skills for your characters because right now it's boring. Like stun nearby enemies and infinite ammo for a duration doesn't feel like an ability; it feels like a buff. I think they need to feel like abilities and do something other than give buffs.

● Companion: I didn't understand the purpose of that but it could be good if it felt like a real companion. Currently, it feels like an auto-bullet-shooting ability that sometimes activates from nowhere. It needs some improvements but i think it's fine for early access.

● Bell(?) Ability: Why does it have two charges for the entire run, it's basically useless. It's not worth to spending on normal enemies, soo you'll save it for the boss and use it in the boss fight. It's basically useless in other situations.

I'm tired of writing, so that's the all I'm complaining about right now. I wish they would make the game more enjoyable, entertaining and playable. But right now, the $18 price tag for an early access game like this is too high. They said they would increase the price when the full game is released... like dude, Roboquest is $25. Do you think anyone who wants to play this type of game would choose this buggy and soulless game over Roboquest or other competitors??? If the price of this game were $10, i could say, "Yeah, that's not bad for $10" but $18 is a lot for that content.

if u want to play a game like satisfactory or factorio but u don't want to play a big game like them or simply u don't want to pay money for it or u don't want to think sooo much about so much things then u need to play this game! it's simple enough to understand everything about game with reading 1-2 sentences about that thing. yeah that's it. A simple idle game similar in gameplay-style to Factorio and Satisfactory.

Nice concept and good gameplay loop, but... IT LACKS CONTENT! It's not worth the price. You can easily achieve all the achievements in 2-3 hours, and you can finish the game in 2-3 runs. I think this game needs more passive items. By more, I mean A LOT. You can reach all the passive items; there's no need to reroll. You will see them eventually. The early stages of the runs are the gold because you can really enjoy them before reaching the mid-game. Once you reach the mid-game, you can just sit back and relax because you will win 90% of the time.

From now on, I won't purchase any games from Rogue Duck Interactive on release day. They always do the same thing; they make good games with nice concepts, but they always lacks of contents. Their games always feels like an early access game. You can play the demos of the games they make, and voilà! You just played 80% of the base game. What a shame.

Very nice game also good design. Addictive and simple with new mechanics to this type of games. With same QoL updates like more shortcuts, custom wallpaper, dark mode, etc. It's gonna be perfect for this type of game, simple and enjoyable and good price for that.

Interesting but bad game controls. When im trying to attack i need to press half of my keyboard and everything will die but my keyboard will die too. sooo if you hate your keyboard u can buy this game

The sweet-faced hologram ball... Nice

First of all, this is a game that you should start with little expectation, but then it will really surprise you. Because the game is more varied than it looks and it's a lot of fun, the makers have really paid attention to how diverse and different a small game can feel. Every run you start feels different from the previous one and you can solve completely different combos.

The balancing in the game is also very successful. For example, it is possible to start with any of the starting weapons in the game and make it very powerful. Each weapon is also highly playable and offers a different pleasure.

If I need to talk about the features that I found bad and good in the game, it is as follows:

Pros:
  • Runs are short and fast.
  • The visual theme has a sweet and original atmosphere.
  • Weapons and Items are quite diverse.
  • The game is well balanced, there are neither too powerful things nor too weak things.
  • There is an endless mode for the unemployed people who wants to play the game for a long time and prove that they can build strong builds in this game and it has a leaderboard for that.
  • A game that is simple enough for everyone to play and deep enough to deepen when needed

Cons:
  • The music is not very good (I think it would be very creative and enjoyable if the music had a more interactive soundtrack that changes with the speed of the game and our attacks, etc.).
  • There could be more game modes, it's a bit sad that there is only one game mode.

i played like a hour and still can't pass through the first mission. i know boomer shooters would be feel nostalgic or old but it's old like REAL OLD. loading screens in open world??? like bruh it's 2025 why did you put loading screens. and also combat system is just boring... and the first scene... WHY DID I NEED TO WAIT 5 MINUTES FOR JUST FREAKING NAMES APPEARING ON THE LEFT UP SIDE OF THE SCREEN? WHO THOUGHT THAT YOU NEED TO PUT CREDITS IN THE FIRST SCENE OF THE FREAKING GAME??? if you want to put credits you SHOULD need to put them in THE END! i don't care who did this game you are just indie company. when i finish the game then im looking for who made this game. because if i beat the game maybe i will wonder who did this models or who write story or who coded combat then im looking forward to credits but in the first time of playing this game did i wonder? NO ABSOLUTELLY FREAKING NO!
