Reseña de Acceso anticipado
Super janky, terrible performance, you just drive and drive and occasionally come across a building with nothing special inside. With the slow pace of updates I’m not sure this game will ever amount to something worth playing in single player. I’m sure it can be fun to goof around in multiplayer though.

Crashes and awful performance. Good game but horrible port.

I was hoping for an actual lovecraftian horror game but this is not that. It's about pandemic/depression/breakup. Might be decent if that's what you're looking for.

The UI is messy and unintuitive, but this is still better than using separate emulators for each system, and there are neat CRT shaders built in here. Cloud saves for the Steam version is great stuff too!

Very slight spoilers ahead.

Blackhaven is a mixed bag.

The voice over of the player character is too on the nose and overdramatic. Do I share her thought on what she discovers? Yes mostly, but it's not that shocking to me to find out that some people from the past (and the present) are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's especially weird since the game is in first person.

Next problem is that there is little player agency involved. There is a mystery to be solved, but I think it's possible to just skip every document if you want and just do whatever the player character tells you to do next. More player agency and detective work would have been appreciated. The Painscreek Killings did this in a mostly excellent way. A hint system if players get stuck would have been a better guiding tool imo.

The next problem is that you spend over an hour doing a museum quiz and a tour of the Blackhaven ruins. Not that exciting to me. I do understand that some background is needed but I feel like it could have been shorter. But more importantly, I think the tour could have been interesting if I had played the main game Cassius first, which takes place in the 1700s.

I know I've complained a lot but ultimately I do still think it's a memorable game. The production values are pretty high for an indie game. The solitary atmosphere appeals to me. The texts and documents are well written and realistic, if sometimes a bit boring. A game doesn't always have to be "fun" to be memorable so I'm giving this a thumbs up, though a neutral rating would have been more accurate.

I thought this would be a horror game based on the cover image, but nope, it's a murder mystery game. The bulk of the gameplay is about finding document and diaries to puzzle together what happened in this town.

The writing is very good and I was impressed by it. However some of the characters are described relatively briefly and could stand to be a bit more fleshed out. The actual story is not quite as engaging as I hoped and I was a bit confused about how it all wrapped up but it's still good. I know there are some documents I didn't find yet that might clear things up.

I had to turn to a guide a number of times because I know I will just get tired and drop a game if there isn't steady progress. I would definitely recommend taking detailed notes right from the beginning of the game, though you also have a camera to help you out. A few times I had a key in my inventory but no idea where it led.

To me this is a game that's more than the sum of its parts and is ultimately quite memorable. The eerie ghost town atmosphere is really unique and impactful. Being able to visit each characters home and see both the mundane and not so mundane parts of them is a subtle but powerful thing.
