♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'm never playing hard mode again. I feel like Abe post civil war rn. I guess It makes you feel more like Gordan playing hard mode because you feel like you've overcome absolute hell, but JESUS.

Half-Life is a good game. Can be a bit rough If you don't play many retro games, and sometimes what you're supposed to do is NOT clear whatsoever. However it still has good gameplay and a good story. I'd say play with the OG models enabled in the settings to get the best experience.

Can't wait for Half-Life 3 to come out tomorrow.

I barley liked this more than I hated it, so I'm giving it a positive review.

TL;DR: routes boring, good music, good art (for the most part), watch the anime instead.

My main issues with the VN:

(Routes)
The routes are so repetitive, like some routes have the EXACT same scenes that go on for multiple minutes straight of absolutely nothing. It is honestly one of the most boring visual novels I've read just because of it's repetitive nature alone.

(Art)
Some CGs look so beautiful, like absolutely gorgeous, however there is also quite a few CGs that is legit the worst art I've seen come out of this series (SciAdv). It's lowkey kinda funny though. Oh and there is times where they will switch to using a characters og steins;gate sprite, for example mayuri because they didn't feel like making a s;g0 mayuri uniform sprite which kinda throws me off.

(Characters)
The characters from the og are fine but they also add all these other filler characters that mean nothing to me, like Mayuri's cosplay friends. (SPOLIER KINDA) Ima just say the twist villians are stupid, because you find out multiple routes before the true end they are evil but the VN still acts like we didn't know they were evil. (End of SPOILER KINDA) Oh and I hate Kagari.

(Writing)
There is this one scene where some characters act super out of character. That is all I'm gonna say.

Now I shall get to the things I liked.

Things I liked about the VN:

(Art)
Some CGs look so so so good omg ;w;. Like absolutely beautiful! Some of the best art I've seen in SciAdv so far.

(Characters)
Maho is such an interesting and complex character and seeing the dynamaic between Maho and Kurisu as well as [Kurisu] was very interesting and entertaining. That's all I gotta say. The OG S;G characters were all good for the most part too.

(Writing)
I like the idea of S;G 0 I just think the execution is poor due to it's repetitive nature and confusing "twists", but I will say the final route does give me chills still.

(Music)
Lyra is so good :sob: I love it legit one of my favorite tracks from both S;G and S;G0. Overall S;G 0 had a good OST, not as iconic as OG's OST but that's to be expected.

From what I've seen of clips of this game online, I honestly thought it was gonna be really boring and kinda crappy. I don't say that because it's a visual novel; one look at my profile shows that I LOVE visual novels. I say that because the world looked shallow, but that turned out not to be the case at all. This demo captivated me from start to finish with the great character dialog and interesting characters. The gameplay is just straight up satisfying, and the atmosphere... oh boy, the atmosphere is just so so good. Watching clips online of this game doesn't do it justice. It really makes you feel like you're in a cyberpunk city. For example, a character mentions an event going on in the city, and in that moment, it made me feel a part of the city, a part of something much bigger than myself; it made me feel like other things were going on right now in other parts of the city, and it wasn't just one room in a video game.

Overall, I liked this so much better than I thought I would. I 100% recommend giving it a try. It's free, what do you have to lose?

I'm gonna be honest, this game is not worth $25 in 2025, at least for me it's not. I definitely enjoyed my time playing the game and it was a lot more fun than I remember so it was definitely worth my money, but keep in mind I bought this game for $10 dollars on sale. I would not recommend paying $25 for such a short game, although the post game content does seem like It would take a while to complete, not because there is a lot of it per se but because they seem like they'd take forever to complete because of their difficulty, like no death mode or melee only mode. Honestly my only problem really is the price, like no way this game is worth only $5 less than Boneoworks. But for a VR game that came out in 2017 it actually still holds up today and I will come back to play the rest of the post game content until I get all the achievements.

good game.

I remember it was a struggle to find ONE person to play with online for the online achievements in the og game... AND NOW THEY WANT US TO FIND 6!!!! WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE??!? I'm never getting all the achievements in this game :pensive:

I like the game.

This game is just so good!!! The movement is so smooth and satisfying, and I love how I can play this on the Steam Deck so I can pick up and play a few matches whenever I'm bored or even bring it when I hangout with a friend and play the local multiplayer. It only has 3 characters so far but I'm more than okay with that, it makes the game simpler.

I definitely recommend picking this game up if you're a fighting game fan ^^

This game made me understand the appeal of AAA games, all the AAA games I've played up until this point haven't had such a focus on being so cinematic during cut scenes or even during gameplay. However this game is next level cinematic, the way the cut scenes flow so smoothly back into the gameplay and vice versa is amazing, it makes you feel like you're playing a movie. The story is pretty basic and not that long however the extra quests to do and the gameplay more than makes up for that, it's just so satisfying, but after playing for a while the gameplay can get a bit repetitive. I view this game as something to come back to every few years so you can fall in love with it again not something to be playing constantly. Absolute masterpiece, I 100% recommend giving it a try.
