It's a free little mini game present for the anniversary so I can't really complain but...let's say say all three characters have a lot in common lol

Pure bliss, what a great twist on the Pac-Man formula. A really charming look and sound and the gameplay is really morish, making you want to come back for a quick go every so often or dig in to a full run. It's simple and short but isnt padded out beyond what is needed and I appreciate that. One of my favorite hidden gems on Steam.

A pretty darn decent breakout game, I had more fun with this than Wizorb due to it's faster pace though it had some frustrating moments. The soundtrack really makes it feel like a long lost PC Engine CD game, it feels retro without going the obvious chiptune route. The story is pretty amusing with some good voice acting barring one of the main sisters who is just kind of grating. You can turn off the cut scene voices but unfortunately not the in-game ones which is a shame as the bosses voices are incredibly repetitive.

The bosses are a pain in the backside simply because they have too many hit poinys, can only be hit from the back and constantly move (sometimes dodging and teleporting) making it very time consuming and almost pure luck to hit them with the ball.

I also wish the game was clear about how you unlock some hidden levels as it doesn't explain that you have to grab enough coins in some levels for a blue chest to appear with a key inside. Comparing mymap to a complete map on the Steam coummnity was the only way I could tell where these hidden levels were: there needs to be a padlock or something to give you a hint where to go to get keys.

All in all a bit flawed in spots but for how cheap it is it's definitely one of the better breakout genre games on Steam.

What a stunning, mesmerizing trip this is. The hypnotic visuals and pumping soundtrack really push this one above and beyond its simple premise and the controls are tight and well telegraphed, if that makes any sense: the sound and visual cues are really clear and punchy. Good thing there was a demo to give me that great first impression. I'm pretty pish at it, getting frustrated in the later levels as it gets mind bending-ly complex as they start to stack every element they’ve slowly got you used to over the course of the early levels on top of each other: it becomes a bit of a pat your head and rub your belly kinda thing and quite nerve racking. Don’t let that scare you away from experiencing it though; it’s a really impressive stylish game. The extra endless modes are great too, including the one that has you as two mirrored characters at once.

I'm not normally a fan of online multiplayer, but this has been some of the most fun I've had online ever. There's a lot more depth to this than meets the eye, with plenty of advanced little tricks that you'll discover over time, but most importanty it makes me laugh constantly. One of the Steam classics.

Really pleasantly surprised by this low budget indie shmup. Plays really nicely, has a lot of variety in the choice of weapons and upgrades as you progress and seems to be packed with content. Some pretty funky tunes in there too. If you can ignore the erm...let's just say presentation of the story mode (namely those character portraits, yeesh) you will find a deep and enjoyable shooter that is also pretty challenging yet satisfying. Absolutely worth a go considering it's being given away for pocket change.

Brillaint music, and plays well but needs a bit more to it, maybe an extra mode that scores you for more than just stages beaten + gems collected. It's satisfying when you get further into the stages and beat your score but other than that its a bit basic meaning you will only want to play it for about five minutes at a time, which if that was the goal of the game fair enough as it works for that perfectly fine, and I have been coming back to it every so often for another quick go so it must be doing something right.

It takes a short while to get used to but this score-attack game absolutely clicked with me. The game really comes into its own once you have got competent at all the basics and played most of the basic mode levels then charge in to the 'awesome' mode which is much faster and honestly even more fun. Just like in real life, hugs and kisses are very moreish, and in the week I've been playing it I keep wanting to come back to it for about an hour at a time. Plus I keep getting amusing chat reactions to 'Gagaman is currently playing AaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!' which is a bonus.

Really wanted to enjoy this game but the controls completely ruined it for me. They are just far too unresponsive and the way they have been designed makes it hard to navigate open areas so I just kept going in directions I wasn't intending to ormy button presses felt far too delayed. A real shame as the presentation and concept is great, but something went wrong with the game control design which I assume is intentional but just makes it nigh-on unplayable for me. Your mileage may vary but I personally cannot recommended it. A real shame, I was looking forward to this one :(

Spelunky has over the last two years become one of my favorite video games of all time. I haven't even beaten hell or got all the achivements yet but even when I do I'm not convinced I will ever tire of this game. The controls are perfect and feel like second nature to me now. I manage to learn new little things about it almost everytime I play it, and it's so rewarding when you pull off a black market raid, or narrowly avoid a ghost, and many many other cool tricks and strikes of luck. This game has a special place in my heart at this point: I adore it.
