I've been looking forward to this game ever since I finished Call of Pripyat.

And now after 35+ hours in-game, I can safely say it's everything I wanted the next installment to be. Does it have bugs? Yes, yes it does. Have they been game-breaking or annoying? Not on my end. Have I enjoyed the game so far? Oh yes.

The optimization for the game is not great so be aware that not just any toaster will be able to run the game with excellence.

One of those games I just keep coming back to, plus probably one of the few games that has a better modding community than Bethesda games

PTSD frisbee in space!

Absolutely gorgeous journey with satisfying controls and a recommendable chill experience, very mild puzzle elements but otherwise you're just rolling or flying about getting to the next railgun that takes you to your next planet.

Absolute favourite was the ocean world (asteroids!) and the magnet world (byebye controls)

Only downside is I felt the game was a bit short and I'd love for there to be more planets, but I definitely feel like I only scratched the surface with each of the planets.

This game has elements from Freelancer and X4, along with a very open-ended ship builder. And if you're clueless at making ships, the workshop is flooding with cool designs you can subscribe to and instantly build in-game (provided you have the materials for it).

Automating trade or mining can be a bit of a chore though to get set up properly, as some sectors will be frozen along with all ships inside them if you haven't visited them in a while. However, Avorion holds a lot of potential and I've enjoyed putting more than 70 hours into it

After about 45 minutes of play, here's some points for the devs.

>>>Reduce health<<<, too many damage sponges make fights drawn out. Rather than playing itself, would be more fun if each move had weight to it, and planning/strategy was important, would also force players to use f

Able to buff foes, funny but annoying after the novelty wears off (Also possible for foes to buff allies, debuffs may also need fixing)

Unbalanced combat- Stun lock on entire team, Boss werewolf indefinitely spawning minion wolves

Haste too OP- means some pawns very rarely get a turn, maybe cooldown or limited use per fight?

Feels too zoomed out, enemies placed too far from team and things like doors are easy to miss
-Make sprites bigger?

Overhaul gambling, maybe dice throw animation, or something similar?

Turn order hard to find, could draw more attention to it

Too easy to make characters OP, add point limit to skills or lock to individual classes, with gradual upgrades made available?
-40 damage skill dealing 200~ damage per use, possible to due to stacked damage up potions/boosts
-May be due to OP characters, but gathered too much gold, too fast. 30~ health potions spare after around half an hour

Veteran achivement after less than an hour

Buffs/Debuffs not obvious, maybe add text after infliction , animation, and/or visual effect (Like red mist for rage, or purple for fear)

AOE attack missed at least 3 times in a row, unsure if due to accuracy debuff but may need rebalancing (Edit: Too many attacks seem to miss, not just AOE, highly likely needs rebalancing)

Howl audio for wolves cuts off early

Health potion button over door to previous area, clicking affects the door first, meaning trying to use a potion changes rooms.

Do not buy this.

Kenshi is one of the few games I just keep going back to. It's an unforgiving hateful world that you start out in as a nobody, and with some tactics and a bit of luck, you can thrive there.

Be prepared to die a few times while you get the hang of the mechanics.

Stellaris offers sandbox-levels of "Play however you damn please"

Do you want to annihilate all xeno scum? Enslave the galaxy? Use your enemies as mere livestock? Befriend everybody? There are very few limits.

There's a bit of a learning curve to the game but once you get going it becomes easier.

Early Access Review
Quite simply the best zombie survival game out there that puts nearly all of the focus to the survival part.

Fighting zombies isn't exactly a good idea and using firearms is almost suicidal. It's one of those games where I keep coming back to and the developer keeps adding things into it.

EDIT:
Three years later, and the game still goes strong and keeps getting better.
EDIT:
Four years later, still good.
