I've been playing the borderlands series since 2009 on Xbox 360 but BL4 just don't feel like a Borderlands game, they've turned it into a one time playthrough to cater to the non BL fans. The story is meh, the levelling is just a too grindy and the open-world aspect just makes doing multiple playthroughs and challenge runs so long-winded and feels like a chore. All the other BL games you could just jump in and start blasting but with 4 you have to drive ages just to do the next mission and its just zzzzz. I was super hyped for BL4 and the open-world but it just don't work for this style of game and i hope that BL5 goes back to map levels.
